What do I do to have study permit extension?

Hey friends, Seniors.

I've decided to take 1 year Postgraduate course. But I wanted to study for an year more. I heard that before continuing my studies I have to extend my study permit.

So my query is Will I get extension on study permit easily or it is difficult to hold a study permit extension? What is the procedure that I'll get study permit extension easily?

So Help me friends.

Hi there,

First off, please carry out a search about your topic on this forum. You will quite a few useful results. Now coming to your situation. Study permit can be extended but the extension depends on few factors. Do you have the required amount of finances to pay the tuition fee and the living expenses? Is your program of study really is a genuine reason of your extension?

Nobody can guarantee your extension. But if your case is legit and strong enough, you should be confident that CIC will extend your study permit.

Have you acquired the visa? are you already in Canada? extending study permit isn't a difficult task (unless it's a complicated case). While extending your study permit, you will be required to pay at least 1 semester fee ( you don't have to worry about living cost). So, you need to show only 1k (apart from 1 semester fee being paid). I know and have seen people extending study permit even without paying tuition fee and showing barely 3k in account.
