what 'Dates' to put on all forms?

We've literally been working on our Sponsorship forms for 5 months - originally putting the dates next to the signatures as we completed them...

After doing and redoing several times over all these weeks, what final date should we put on the forms? the day of mailing? the day they were signed?

Day they are signed. Would be best to sign all of the forms on the same day.

Being 6000 miles apart and completed over a long period, of course they can't all be signed simultaneously - but, yes, they can be dated the same before mailing..

Ah - got it. Then I would date the forms on the actual day they were signed.

Thanks. Good to talk. We're both in China now completing the forms, documents, etc. Dating hers before I return really makes the most sense - mine dated before mailing all to Mississauga.

I should add, make sure you check all the forms for the version dates, as CIC often updates them and will not accept outdated forms. Happened to me too. I filled out all forms went to see my husband we signed all forms, the following month I came back to Canada and 2 of the forms were changed on CIC website so had to refill and re-print and resign.

Yes! Good to know. We also discovered CIC's updating of various forms - have redone all.

Just make sure 3 months don't pass by the time u actually send them in or they will be no good
