Hi All,

I've been sifting through these forums for a while but haven't been able to find a straightforward answer to this question. Specifically in my situation, I have a few months of work that I did for my company in India for a Canadian client and I was working in Canada for the duration of this project. Does this count as Canadian experience? I doubt I can provide any "proof" of this except for references from the Canadian company - the folks I worked with in that company.

What was the duration for which you were in Canada?

If it is more than one year in Canada then you'll get the points in CRS, if less than a year, you can mention the same but you'll not get any points.

With respect to documentations, you should have payslips for the duration you were working in Canada and also the work permit, invitation letter etc. These are the documents which are required in order to come to Canada for any work. I am sure you should have this. If not, then don't mention that you came to Canada and worked for sometime :p :p else CIC will catch you :'( :'( :) :)

Good Luck

Not sure if this counts as Canadian work experience since you weren't working for a Canadian employer but i could be wrong though...lol. Your letter of employment would have to come from the Canadian company basically saying that you were an employee which they won't be able to do. So my answer is no. Plus it was a few months..which means nothing. You have to have at least a year experience.
