What could cause a study permit to be delayed

Hi I'm Elise from Cameroon, I applied for my study permit and its been a month now , whereas the waiting period for applicants from Cameroon is 3weeks. I'm really confused as to what might be going on or what is causing the delay in acce

It could be the backlog that they have....
 
I am from Cameroon as well. Its been 3 weeks and no response. What date did u apply? Which school? Also check if they have started reviewing eligibility . Was it online or paper based.

I know of somone who applied In April and after 7 days he got a rejection.

The time they post on the website is only an average. Might be shorter, might be longer, so I wouldn't worry too much. As Helican says they could have a backlog of applications too.

Study permit Canada, i got accepted into a college already
 
Yea i know you got a colege already. Just asking for the school u intend to attend. I heard the processing time for cameroon applicant's is 28 to 29 days at the visa section in france.
