If you are well settled in your home country, then better to stay there. It will take years to settle down here. Jobs are not available in the market. Also weather is horrible during the winters.

hi tomts143,

You are right that each individual has it's own reasons to migrate to Canada. I am just mentioning my reasons here.

1. My child could have better education compare to my present country India. Till grade 12 education is free & in worst case scenario if I wouldn't capable to pay my child's college fees then Government will support him which is not possible in my country right now. Here even after paying huge amount since junior grades, school doesn't take care enough of your child while in Canada they do.

2. Safe & Clean Environment for all people. As I have heard people are easy going n laid back in Canada & also frank with migrated people.

3. No Caste or Religion based system in education, jobs & business.

4. Pure food & water.

5. Job chances are brighter than my home country.

6. Cost of living is affordable.

7. crime rate is much lower.

8. being a Canadian PR or citizen you can get arrival visa in most of the developed countries.

9. if my child will be interested in sports, music or any other activities then he could survive in his life.

10. There are lots of Indians in Canada so My family & I could be remain in touch of our culture, food & festivals even after stay away from home country.

I hope my reasons are making sense to other community members also. May be I forgot to mention other reasons but other members can remind or make me aware of it.
My views below:

I dont think 1) is correct at all. india has better education and level of competitiveness than Canada, far higher than Canada.

5) and 6) are also not true at all. It is not affordable, Canada has very high taxes, higher than the US and job chances in India>>>>>Canada.

8) No you wont get any benefit
9) Totally not true, yes he will survive in his life but you would survive in India as well and seeing the current economic scenario, India will give him a lot better chance of survival than Canada

This question should be moved out of Express Entry specific discussion and is more appropriate for the section Settlement Topics -> Settlement Issues. There are so many people discussing with more valuable points about this subject. Just saying...

education here is free but the quality of education in canada doesnt stand anywhere when compared to india...
job oppurtunities are much better in india
weather is much better

It makes perfect sense to come to canada if you dont have education or you dont have ny job......this place is a paradise for both these categories else a big no for anybody else....if you are making even 50 k in india please dont think of immigrating.......

thanks tomts143...

I shared just my views... I mentioned education because I have seen in India children carry heavy n huge school bags with lots of books. and as they going to higher standards they are buried under pressure of result oriented education system. In India we have education system more theoretical rather than practical. I used to live in Australia for 2 years and I have seen the life is also not easy out of India but still people are relaxed and enjoying life.

Here many guys are not agreed with my views. But I appreciate the corrections you people have suggested. Other thing is I want to go to Canada but I have never mentioned that India is not good. I want to move because of any reason I am not settled here, not having good job, not having good financial backup and no other good reason that make me stay here. I feel that if same struggle I'll do in Canada then may be after 2-3 years I'll be in better position then I'd in India. India is amazing country to live in but I don't see any good opportunities for me in job. After 2 years my child will go to school so I want to move to Canada before that so he can start with Canadian school and he wouldn't need to switch from Indian to Canadian studies.

Rest of members should also share their reasons for migration.

Some are giving points why they would like to settle in Canada, like "less level of corruption, higher level of equality" etc., but then bring their habits and their corruption to Canada.

For example (really disgusting and I personally think that those people should be deported back to ... ) :

Yes, corruption in my country is above the normal level for sure and that is one of the reasons I came to Canada but even in my college a lot of guys from one particular country were working under the table thus bringing corruption habits from their country and then we can see outcome which happened in Red Deer.
