What are these lines on ECAS

Posters keep mentioning 3 or 4 lines on ECAS. What does this mean???

When u click on underlined status lines will show up

But what does the numer of line mean? Why is it relevant?

When EE first started it was relevant but now it has become random. But usually the lines say
1 app received
2 correspondence sent
3 medical received
4 app in process

There can be lines for documents requested if any.
