Check these here. However, mostly the reason is that the file is left untouched due to work load. It's a lot about luck too.

Yes, you can email them too. I would say raise another web form only after completion of six months. You can also call them.

I called up the IRCC call centre and they said my “eligibility is recommended pass”. This was on 13th jan. My BG was in process and security had not started.

It might. My case analyst recommend passed 14 days before my 6 months and I'm still awaiting for PPR.
