I applied for my father-in-law(82 years) and mother-in-law (68 years) visitor visa last year. Funds they have shown is very less 2lakhs INR and no FD , no investments , jus running pension. They have a house worth 70 lakhs.
What are the chances of their getting Visa and timeline for last year Visas?

Not a lot of money. Depends also on the length of their visit, travel history and ties to country. If you are PR, why not super visa.

You can sponsor them as super visa. Your spouse can use his income to sponsor them and if the income is not enough then you can be a co-signer. you can also combine your income, your spouse and in laws retirement income and other source of income just to meet the income requirement to be eligible for super visa.

Income of family in Canada through NOA is considered. Nowhere does it state the parents income is included. So the OP and the spouse need to meet LICO. That is the first requirement and not combine income with parents.

It either sponsor income and co signer and the sponsored income can be included like pension. The more proof the better. It can be use also as proof of ties back home if they income, investment, property, etc.

Parents' income can be used to support the application but doesn't count towards LICO.

For visitor visa (NOT super visa), not much chances of reject, IMHO.

No. Parents’ pensions is to support application but doesn’t count towards LICO which is required.
