What are my chances of bringing my 3 yrs.old son with me to Canada under TRV?

Hi,
Me and my husband was applying for a work permit under temporary resident status in Canada and we've learned that it is possible to sponsor our 3 yrs. old son. So i called the Manila,Embassy Call Center to verify and asked what type of visa should i apply my son. And i was adviced to apply him under a student permit program.And so i did.Unfortunately my application was refused due to inadequate experience for the position i'm applying for. However i was able to talk to my employer and she told me that she will request for a new LMO and issue me a new contract for a lower position that will be suited for me. Now were just waiting for my husbands results because my son's application will be dependent on him. What do you think are the chances for my son's approval? On the other side i'm about to pass my new application. Is there a specific level of position in order for you to qualify or get approve for sponsorship? We are just starting our family and it's sad to leave our son behind for 2 yrs. So we are doing everything. We don't have enough asset to prove, only our job contract from the employer.Pls help me.

Hi,

I'm sorry for your application. Do you and your husband have a separate LMO, if not or if you only have the LMO it means that the application of your husband and son would be refuse too, their applications depends on your application. Only applicants who have an LMO can sponsor spouse and child. Why are you refused by embassy, dont you have any work experience on the occupation listed in your LMO?

Actually i do. I've been working in a call center as a Customer Service rep for almost 3 yrs. That made my employer decide to put me into a Supervisory for Customer Service position even though i don't have experience being one. No my husband have a separate LMO too. The employer even provided me a satisfactory letter for the embassy to see that she really likes to hire me but i guess that is not enough. When i was called for an interview i told the officer everything. And he informed me that the cause of my refusal was inadequate experience for the position i'm applying for. He even mentioned if only i applied as a crew he would pass me. So that's what i'm doing right now. I'm about to make another application as a crew. My employer provided a new LMO and contract.But my worry is they will not approve our son as our dependent because we both applied for a low-skilled position as a crew. What do you think? My application for my son is a students permit TRV. Did you apply for a work permit before? For what position?Thanx, i really appreciate your help.

Well, I haven't apply for WP before, I'm still waiting for my LMO which by now is under dispute because of wage. Anyhow, seems like your employer can get LMO easily. from which province is your employer? My employer is from AB, and we waited for 12weeks for the LMO and now there's a problem with wage. BTW, my postion is Glazier....

Sorry I dont have answer about your son situation, I hope someone can enlighten you....

Really? What is your job description as a Glazier? My employer is from Grand Prairie, Alberta. From what i know it will only takes 2 weeks for an LMO to be processed,because that's what happened to me and my other batchmates for the position. We are directly hired. Thanx ang Good Luck.

You really are lucky about your LMO processing time,members from other forum who applied for LMO in AB also have the same processing time like me. I'm also a direct hire, employer is from Calgary. To make it simple Glazier is also a glass cutter.

Really? That's an interesting job. So you are a skilled worker? That is very indemand in Canada as well as truck driver and welder. Good Luck on your application.
