I have a CGPA of 3.91/4.0 in BS Electrical Engineering, I dont have any publications at the moment (in the process of preparing papers), but have some research experience. I have 7.5 in IELTS and have experience in being a teaching assistant for the past two years. What are my chances of admission to Electrical Engineering program at McMaster MEng/MASc?

Would say good. Really depends on the other candidates are where you did your bachelors.

I am from Pakistan and the university is a low ranked quite new.
Thanks for thr motivation. I just got a rejection from waterloo's MASc program so I was a bit nervous lately.

The lower ranked university may be a problem but it is impossible to tell how much of an issue.

Makes sense. Is there something to make up for the lower ranking? Btw thank you for the time and motivation!

Also is there some way to gauge one's competence with the other candidates or it remains a mystery forever. Also not getting a reason for rejection gets frustrating at time.

It is not a mystery, McMaster is a high ranked school. Expect to compete with the best. What this means is 3.7GPA from a top undergrad + great GRE score.

Considering the fact that I come from a low ranked relatively new undergraduate program, what would be a good graduate school choice for me?
