What about different line of career from educational background?

Hello,

I need a little piece of advise before preparing for my IELTS.

I have completed my post graduation in law. However, I have shifted my career towards IT since long (about 5 years of high tech experience). I have worked for Hewlett Packard AP Hong Kong Ltd. for 4 years and now working for Thakral Information Systems Private Limited for 7 months till now. Both of these companies are multinational and my responsibilities are mostly related to configuring and designing Enterprise Server, Storages and Networking Devices.

Now, all what I need to know is whether the change in my career from my educational background will affect, in any way, my application to the express entry in Canada as a skilled worker.

Hi @CanadaWecome, did you mean to say that my change in route will not affect to my application evaluation?

Considering that, it will not affect at all, what do you suggest to be my next step?

Actually, I need to do a cross check before starting to apply. Is there any way to check with the recruiters over there who might be willing to hire me helping with the skilled immigration through Canada Express Entry.

Actually, I am pretty confident about IELTS and I want for sit for it only after getting confirmation from any reliable recruiter over there.

You can surely do your homework...and should consider your self lucky in you get positive response from employers especially when you are not in Canada. I mean while it's not impossible but its not that easy to get confirmations from employers unless you have very good & close connections there. This is purely my opinion based on past experiences and the forum but please don't let this discourage you in any way and continue with you plans full throttle.

How can I search for the companies that are offering jobs matching my criteria doing pre-sales for enterprise server and storage in the job bank?

IELTS and ECA is a prerequisite for submitting the Express Entry profile. Without IELTS, your scores would be very low to get an invite from OINP.
