Messed up !!

Will not be getting 24 points as I dont know french.

So probable score is around 510

I assumed a score for IELTS
Still too high though. Take a relook at Transferability section just in case..

I think you need to recheck your points calculated.. Use the below link to calculate it again..

www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html

If you still get 510.. then I think you have a bright prospect of getting ITA under CEC category..!!

Thanks,

Mak

Same here guys my husband will have one year experience in January and we wanted to apply under CEC. We are getting around 502 points, his work also is LMO exempt and is full time but on contract.Even I am confused but it seems they will rank you within 600 points.

Firstly, you cannot claim the remaining 600 points (job offer) unless you get a LMIA from the employer after Jan, 2015 (whether the job is LMO or ICT doesn't matter after Jan,15)

Secondly, keeping in mind.. under the CEC category, there will not be too much of competition, and if luck permits you might get a call in any of the draws if they don't find enough candidates with score > 600.

This is my personal opinion...

Thanks,

Mak

There are plenty of people on CEC eager to apply. I don't expect any of the 3 streams to be any easier than other.

Doesn't matter. You need an approved LMIA if you want the 600 points.

How can it be permanent if you are on ICT.
Per ICT rules, you are there on an assignment that needs highly skilled people with specialized knowledge and you are transferring that skilled knowledge to other Canadians or PR holders while working on that assignment.

You may check your ICT docs that are filed by your company. Nowhere you would see the word "Permanent"

If you just do a quick calculation based on the below sheet

http://tinyurl.com/mwstg52

You will find that out of Total 80 applicants so far, Only 10 of them fall under CEC.. That comes to 1/8th of the Total Applicants.. (I accept this is not a good sample size)

But still if you do a simple extrapolation by 1000 (Total= 80000, CEC= 10000)

IMO The CEC Applicants figure can by no more than ~30000 applying next year i.e. 2015 and that too these CEC are further divided in their respective NOC category...

Thanks,

Mak

Category may not play any role anymore. Its the points that are the deciding factor.
Please note that CEC has same limits as of 2014 (Unless they update again on Jan)

"As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 8,000 for new Canadian Experience Class applications. "

With this persons in FSW who are single, know french, have a doctoral degree can beat CEC scores. So if both categories are clubbed not much use of Canadian experience.

Hi,

I am on ICT visa and created a profile in Express Entry for CEC. I see after submitting my application the status shows blank as follows,

Where is this application?
Application/profile status: (blank)
Province/Territory Nomination: No nomination at this time
Job Bank Registration: Pending
Review of Minimum Entry Criteria: Met
ITA Status: Not Applicable
Review of submitted documents:

Now If the status is blank, it means that you need to register for Job Bank or have your provincial nomination confirmed, if you have one. How can I complete my application. The job bank resgitration does not work for me becasue my SIN starts with digit "9" (temporary resident).
Moreover I see my overall profile score is 210 only. Am I missing anything? Anyone who has applied / experience can help?.. Thanks in advance ! :)

Guys,

It seems ICT people also needs to register in Job bank with EE PROFILE NUMBER AND VALIDATION CODE. So waiting for that EE# and job seeker code.
Anyway, I am still curious to know why my overall score is low as 210. Please comment. :'(

Did you receive your EE# and validation code and have you registered with Job bank already ? I also have overall score 263 because i am still in the process of evaluating my degrees(ECA pending)
