You heard it right. PNP & direct ITA routes are processed same, in fact PNP route is more time consuming. If your husband has good CRS score to get direct ITA then his file can be processed within 2 to 6 months. Background is related to security checking which is the last step in application processing, Not applicable means that they did not started your security yet. In progress mean that your documents are verified and they are doing the last step.Hi guys,
I am on student visa at Canada.I applied PR for my husband through a consultancy that is in Canada itself. They telling me PNP is just a way to grab more points.Once we receive ITA everything is same infront of CIC. They wont differentiate files based as normal ITA or as PNP. I did an enquiry about this to many ppl who got PR here. They were also telling the same.If everything goes good maximum time is 3 months. They also said that if background check is not applicable is the status then the CIC is satisfied with the documents. If the background check is in progress then it is a time taking process.I am not sure about all this information.Still thought of informing you all as i am really confused. If anyone has any kind of information. Please share. This is what i got when i talk to ppl around me.
thank you for the reply.yes...you will have to email OINP requesting to transfer the nomination to your new profile and will have to state why you had to decline your application , which in your case is the expired IELTS...
Brother no update in my status. Still NA2.@anwar01 @BillHyatt any updates? Hope you two have moved to IP2 or even PPR .
Oh how many days since AOR now?Brother no update in my status. Still NA2.
Yes, you missed seeing IP1. Often times the time in IP1 is very short, so if you don't log in right after passing medicals, you could miss the IP1 status. So you are in NA2 now. Congrats!Hello everyone,
Good day,
So I finally passed my meds yesterday and also got another status update that "We do not need additional documents"
Does this mean that I somehow missed IP1 update in my cic account as background check status right now is Not Applicable.
Note: my medical was delayed due to abnormal chest xray on 29th Nov 2017 and I had to appear for lung tests in front of an IOM suggested chest specialist last week, as soon as he cleared me up, my medical was unexpectedly passed. IOM also gave me date for 2nd xray(1st March 2018),so do I need to appear for that now?
I see, thanksYes, you missed seeing IP1. Often times the time in IP1 is very short, so if you don't log in right after passing medicals, you could miss the IP1 status. So you are in NA2 now. Congrats!
