No.. looks like 90% of ignoring the fact that there's a pandemic happening this year and everything is ****ed up for everyone. But no, everyone trying to be Karen right now.. I paid the money, it's my right to get service. Can we speak to IRCC's manager?

Canadian government research estimates that international students contribute some $22 billion annually to the country's economy and help to sustain over 170,000 jobs...thats why they can't act like US...
Either way, their actions are to your benefit right? Ignore the cause and focus on the effect.

From what I have observed. There are a few bad users in this group who are actively posting negative comments or bad-mouthing. Some are even giving wrong information. These pessimistic people will usually have a problem with everything. I feel they get joy out of discouraging others. Just because they are posting anonymously in the group, they feel the liberty to say whatever they need.

Most of us are experienced, professionals or have the capacity to understand the gravity of the situation. By reading this comment those people will know I am referring to them and might get offended. They will have a problem with everything, even if they had received a study permit the next day they applied, they will find a fault. They will say, "A study permit means positive news. Shouldn't Canada flag in the permit be in green colour?"

I have seen a recent thread where a student from SriLanka(non-sds) got his study permit approval and stamp in the passport in less than a month during the pandemic. There are several other countries where people are getting their AIP. So, clearly your home country isn't managing the pandemic well and that's causing the delay. Not every application is processed in Canada. Some of the applications could be processed in your home country. So blame your home country government/authorities because of the way they made working conditions difficult during the pandemic.

And not everyone who gets approval or AIP would post it here. They have no use of this forum when their result is positive. Most people usually visit the forum when they don't get favorable results or when in doubt. Everyone is most likely to find negative results here.

I think it is our right to know the decision whether it is approved or refused. For me in particular, I have been waiting since February and others who applied late in June and July are getting answers.

I worked hard to get admission to my university and did two interviews, so it is not a privilege. I got three offers and chose one of them.

I totally understand that there is a pandemic and we all went through difficult times, but we moved on.

They should treat applications fairly and process them based on first applied, first served. If a rejection came at this point, there is no chance to reapply.

It is true that we have to thank officers for their time and efforts and also we should be thanked for our patience.

The only thing I will change in your post is from "moved on" to "moving on..". Second wave is just around the corner and some countries are already facing that reality now. I wish every student gets decision by the end of August so that everyone can move on to next stages of life.

For people who are complaining, you guys do realize there is a pandemic going on right? When was the last time the entire world faced a pandemic like this?
I don't think IRCC delayed applications last year or any other year. They were usually spot on when it comes to processing time.
I know this is tough for everyone. But the officers who are working are normal people working under extremely tough conditions.
we got that but why last month the IRCC were still encouraging people to apply for fall 2020? if they cant even finish the completed applications that people did many month ago, its a big

so if the reason of the delay is the pandemic, and the IRCC are struggling to answer everybody, so why the hell were they encouraging people last month to still apply for fall 2020 even with a not a complete application, where is the sense in that, that's a big contradiction, I believe if they are really struggling they should have stooped people for applying not encourage them to apply and than not answer them!
