WES vs IQAS - reviews?

Hi,

I need support from you for below clarification.

I have four degree/diploma/certificate:
1. Three year graduation degree from Delhi University
2. Two year distance learning PGDBM from SCDL, Pune
3. One year PGCHRM from XLRI
4. Six month full time certificate course from IIM, Indore

Please confirm if any of these would make me eligible for category of 'Master's Degree' in Education section of CRS. If yes, do I send ECA to WES or

PGCHRM is not approved by WES. I am not sure about other evaluators. XLRI will charge you 3400 for sending it to WES so dont waste your money try some other evaluator.

I have done my MBA from Eilum University in 2012 but now this University is blacklisted from Wes. We are processing our PR, Canada through an agent so they told me they won't send my MBA degree for assessment since it's blacklisted. So please tell me if Wes will not accept any document or stamped it then it will affect our jobs also once we will land in Canada.. Can I use my MBA degree in Canada or it will be garbage after that? Wes is necessary for PR?? Can I do my documentation from other such authorities also?? I am confused plz guide me.

Hi,

There r two different things-

If wes is not recognising the degree it means you loose points for that.
To get points you can try IQAS for evaluation.

About using the degree in Canada, anyways your any education is not considered as a valid stand for occupation. It will be treated as a regular study that you held in your career. No worries about using it in canada

Hi all,

After researching the different options for obtaining an ECA, I have narrowed down the institutions to IQAS (alberta.ca) and WES (wes.org). Does anyone have any reviews or experiences with these institutions that could help me choose which one to go with? After reading some posts, it sounds like IQAS may be the better option, but I'd just like to see if anyone has any comments about them.

I have applied to both WES and IQAS. My consultant botched up my case by sending my B.Tech degree to WES along with my M.Tech. My B.tech was from PTU so my file got rejected. (Bachelor degree is not required by WES if Masters is an M.tech degree). They then sent the papers to IQAS. It is such an incompetent agency that they lost my parcel and informed me after three months, that too in an email saying that,"we haven't received you parcel and we are cancelling your application". I contacted them and gave them my parcel's tracking number. That's when they finally found my parcel. I lost faith in IQAS and applied for WES following the instructions properly. WES did my ECA in less than two months while also keeping me informed about which step the process was on.
So, I would highly recommend WES. Go to IQAS at your own risk.

Hi! I did a 1 year Diploma in Interior Designing from New Delhi YMCA, India. Have got my ECA report from WES, but they have stated it as a non recognized institution. Should I get my Evaluation done from IQAS? Kindly suggest. My points are coming to 435. Really worried whether it would come down to that after today’s draw.

I have done BA and MSc mathematics from punjabi university patiala INDIA.
Got my evaluation from WS and they evaluated my master as 4 years of Bachelor.
Can anyone please suggest me which agency should i go for in order to get master equivalency.

Hi. I have Indian LLB degree but i am bit confused whether i should go for WES or IQAS as after doing free evaluation in WES it is showing my degree in bachelors whereas in canada it is considered as professional degree. Please suggest me which option should i take WES or IQAS?

if your university is not there in WES list it doesn't matter, there are many Universities which are not in their list but they still recognized it. personal experience . Chitkara University, Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University. not in the list but still recognized by WES.

Hi, have you been able to find anything on YMCA as I am also having 1 Year Diploma in Office Management from New Delhi YMCA along with Bachelor in Commerce. Though Institute of Office Management is listed in name of institutions at WES but I am confused what to select in Institution type.
Further, referring to your post, can WES categorize YMCA as non-recognized? However it is there in list :-(
