WES verification: Academic record request form and Online submit process

First I thought WES verification was not so complex but as i was going through the steps i am somewhat confused now.

Here are my concerns:

1. I was going through the WES verification steps in internet and found an information saying "we also need to attest Academic record request form signed by ourselves and the registrar office along with the transcripts and degree in the signed encased envelope" .

If I am living in another country right now, how can we do that? Do we even need to do that? Aren't the transcripts and scanned copy of degree verified by my university enough for that?



2. What requirement do my university need to fulfill in order to be able to send the Documents digitally to WES?

3. If my university can send digital documents to WES the step that I came to understand are :
> Create wes account , get the wes reference number
> pay the wes charge then send the wes reference number to college and rest will be taken care by college

Is my understanding correct or there's more to this?

>> No, WES requires the documents to be sent directly by the education institution (TU/KU/PU or otherwise). You can either do it yourself or have someone do it for you.
[1] Get the copies of your documents - degree, Transcripts, etc,
[2] Have them stamped by the university,
[3] Put those in the University envelope, if there's no official envelope, use a standard plain while/brown etc.
[4] Seal the envelop, and put university stamp on the envelope. You need to sign up with WES and include relevant document/reference code along with the envelope. I think WES has guide on how to go about this on their website. You'll find them with quick research.
[5] Send the courier yourself (from same city) via DHL/EMS/other

2. What requirement do my university need to fulfill in order to be able to send the Documents digitally to WES?
>> Perhaps you, yourself are best suited to answer that. Talk to your friends, seniors who've already done this, or have someone visit your university.

3. If my university can send digital documents to WES the step that I came to understand are :

>> Yes, for WES's part these are the basic steps. You may have to do other work to get the process (of sending the documents sent) started by your university.

One thing that bothers me is, If i can get my university send me the sealed transcripts, degrees to Nepal, can't I send those sealed documents from Nepal itself? I think university won't do it and there is no other person in contact with me in india to do this task.

It's a bit of a pickle. If your university is in India and you send documents from Nepal, origin address of the documents will be different from your uni address, and I have seen some people whose application was rejected by WES. Apparently people form India/South Asia some used shady practices and WES made the rule very strict, esp for India.

[1] I suggest you talk to your university and see if they have dedicated office/person for these kind of tasks. Most universities have person doing these king of works. Try searching forums with your university's name and see what other people have done.

[2] If that does not work, find some junior at the university, send him/her some cash to have a party and extra to apply for the official documents on your behalf. Even if someone else/not the university staff send the documents from same location as the university, it should be okay, if the documents are stamped and sealed by the university.

[3] If above options do not work or take too long, be prepared to either go yourself to India or have someone sent to India. Since FSW is stopped for some time, you'll win if you can get the WES done ASAP so as soon as FSW draws start, you'll be ready.

I completed my B.Tech from Bhagwant University, Ajmer. Some years ago it was around the news that someone claimed it is not as per UGC act, but it is not in the list of fake university in UGC website. It is still approved by UGC.

I guess it won't be a problem if WES proceeds to contact my university for document verification.
