WES report

Hi Guys,

I am a single mom trying to apply for Canadian PR from Chennai. I got my WES evaluation and preparing for IELTS. I met couple of folks in my IELTS coaching and they all said that I need a WES report that has points mentioned on the report itself. They claim that when WES evaluate transcripts they also give equivalent points for immigration as well. I dont see those points. All it say is bachelors ( four years). Is that okay? Is there a different service package that I had to pick which would have give me a different report.

That's a False information.

They will only tell you about the Canadian equivalency of your highest and pre-highest (in case of masters and bachelors both) in Canada.
The Points, you have to assume or calculate according to the information.

Bachelors - 21
Masters - 23
PhD - 25 (the Max limit)

Don't pay heed to them liars.

When I opt for Order duplicate report there is one option'sealed envelope' for which we have to pay CAD 10/_ Extra.
What is it for?

You don't require the special seal, so get the normal ones (with no special seal), as you will be opening the seal of the SPECIALLY SEALED package and taking out two copies of the reports and sending only one of those reports to the CIC.

You may also try tracking the normal mail, or the time it takes... 15 days is good time, you must be about to get the first package itself by the end of this week... if you are yet to get the rest of the docs ready, simply wait for the first package to arrive.

My WES report is done.The report clearly show that I have just a master degree in geography.I have a specialization in geology also.The officer in charge said they can not indicate minor fields on the report.I have more than 2 years of working experience as a geologist in my country and I want to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker as a geologist.My question is: How important is this WES report regarding my application?Can I apply as a geologist with this report?I can proof my specialization with certificate and my working experiences with reference letters from my previous employers...
If I can apply as a geologist I dont need a job offer form a canadian employer.

Dear Geologist,

You sure can apply using the WES report for claiming your 23 points for the education you have received.

You need 67+ points in all, for FSW... and 23 for Education + 12 for age (assumption) + 11 for Work Ex. + IELTS will suffice the requirement...

You are at 46 right now, try scoring 7 or above in each of the R W L S part of your Language proficiency at IELTS. That will get you a perfect 24 in Language Proficiency, and hence total points = 70.

Good enough to apply without an arranged employment.

Can anyone advise what does the status "Evaluation - Document by Document (Initial Application)" mean? WES has received all documents and evaluation will be completed by Nov 3...

If you can prove your duties and responsibilities through your relevant work exp reference letters matching to the relevant NOC, you can certainly apply for it.
If I can apply as a geologist I dont need a job offer form a canadian employer.

It means nothing... Just wait for your report to arrive...
and Yes, 3rd November is the date they have scheduled ? You will then get it before 25th Oct most probably. Stay Ready.
