WES Process - Dont have originals in home town

Hi,
I am in Canada right now and started my PR process. I brought my original degree certificates with me when I came to Canada. Now for WES process do I need to send my Originals to my Home town to be verified by the University members(Madras University, Chennai)? What are the other options I have if I don't want to send the originals back home? - Please help me on this.

I am not sure about your university, but I did WES from three universities in North India, a photo copy of mark-sheets and your degree(s) is sufficient proof for the WES from the university.
