WES: Gujarat University

i have done evaluation process for my bachelors and masters degree from WES.

Got the reference number and sent documents to WES

They kept my status "On Hold" saying Bachelor's degree has been verified but Masters they have sent documents to University by Post and email.
When i went to University and told the status; University guys denied that they haven't received any documents from WES neither from post nor email. Also they told me to do the same process again to send re-verified documents to WES.

Have anyone done this two times process ? I have been stuck from last 3 and half months....

I think they might not have received it through courier yet. Just wait. Check with Wes with tracking if possible.

WES has already done with Bachelor's degree assessment. Remaining part is only with Masters. They are saying that they have sent documents to University for verification. But when i went to university then they behave like they know nothing.

yeah that’s the problem with our system. Just go again in less rush time and ask to someone that is helpful.

Rather than waiting further. 2nd option is to tell WES to resend the verification request and confirm through mail to the university while u follow up with the university admins. Tip: Try to fill the pocket of the man in charge for smoother process and better follow up.

Already contacted them and restarted the process again. But, i am still in confusion. Even if i do re-verification, will WES accept and proceed ahead ?

I have visited University today and talked with University guys who does this process for secondary verification. They are saying that they will send verification which they receive only Physical Copy they don't consider emails. How pathetic is this. They even didn't able to find my verification letter.

Hi Hemang, When did you start your process with WES. I can see on their website, that they accept electronic format of Transcripts from Gujarat University. If you applied online, did you still had to manually go and collect the sealed envelope?

I have done process in March 2020 .. thereafter lockdown came .. and file was on hold.. and when it resumed then got to know that WES has sent documents for reverification .. i visited gujarat University 3 4 times but they told me that they will send when they receive hard copy and recently WES said me that they sent email only...

Now the problem is .. WES won't send hard copy and GU doesn't look even into emails...

Sharing my experience here so that it would be helpful to someone.

My documents were initially rejected by WES because I sent them a transcript which wasn't issued by the GUJARAT UNIVERSITY but was verified by the university (GU don't issue any transcripts they just do the verifications) so don't send them a transcript which is issued by the college or some other place (usually your college will ask you to go to some nearby printer shop where they will convert marksheet into transcript and college will do signature and stamps on it). I know it's all f***ed up but that is how you get your transcript.

Basically, WES is looking for your MARKSHEETS of all semester that is verified by the university.
WES does not need your degree verification they just need your marksheets that is verified by GUJARAT UNIVERSITY, you can just send them a color print out of your degree certificate and it's need not be in sealed envelop or sent by the university.

Obviously, GUJARAT UNIVERSITY won't send the sealed envelope to WES. You'll have to collect it from University and courier it to WES and make sure that you let courier person know that they write sender as Gujarat University and not your name.

Hi, I am in the same dilemma. I was also almost going to get the transcripts, when I came across this post from you. After reviewing your post, my understanding is that we just need the Marksheets to be verified by Gujarat University and sent them in Sealed envelope from same PIN code. However in my case I noticed that my BCOM second year Marksheet is actually from the college (1st year and final year from Gujarat University), as that time College used to conduct 2nd year exams. I do not think University will verify that. I was checking on the Gujarat University website, there is an option to get SY (Second Year) Marksheet Verification certificate. Now on WES it says, that the Second Year Marksheet can be verified by College. I am now confused, whether, I should go to college and just get the 2nd year marksheet attested, then upload it to the Gujarat University site for Marksheet verification (Now Gujarat university allowing to upload documents), or do the SY verification first?

Hi all,
Today I got update for WES that my transcripts were rejected. Below is the reason and further instructions from them.

Reason: The document received and attested from the institution was a college-issued transcript. WES only accepts university issued and attested marksheets. We do not accept university attested transcripts issued by the college.

Instructions: Please arrange for your academic documents to be sent directly to WES by the institution or examining body that awarded your degree/diploma.

Now I confused because Gujarat University does not issue transcripts just by themselves. They will first ask for the transcripts from the college.
Pls help.

Procedure I followed
Step1: I prepared transcripts format from a guy in a Xerox store
Step2: I went to my college with those transcripts format and college admin issued a set of transcripts unsealed.
Step3: I went with college issued transcripts to Gujarat University , filled few forms and submitted required documents alongwith the original college issued transcripts.
Step4: after 15 days I went back to University to collect my transcripts. At that time I check my transcripts, they just put Gujarat University stamp besides college stamp in the college issued transcripts and there was sign of registrar alongwith his stamp. Below the college principal stamp and sign. Thereafter it was sealed and stamped in front of me in Gujarat University envelope.
Step5: I courier the sealed Gujarat University envelope to WES for ECA

Pls help me with what I have done wrong. Moreover what corrective action should I take.??

Sanket, did you get this resolved. I was also going down this route of getting transcripts ready. But I think it makes sense to have the marksheets and degree verified with the university and sent them in sealed envelope. In my case there is an extra hurdle, where my second year B.COM marksheet is issued by college, but 1st and final year issued by Gujarat University

I am in the same situation. I got below email from WES.

“This is to advise you that WES has sent photocopies of your documents for verification both electronically and by standard postal mail to Gujarat University. Your WES file is on hold until we receive a written response from this institution.”


Please, let me know what am I supposed to at this point? Any help would be highly appreciated.!

Hi Shaunak. Did it go through. I have similar application stuck at WES. WES website says that Gujarat University will send them the authenticated marksheets and degree electronically

Gujarat university never looks at email. They even don't know how to reply in email.

I visited there and they told me that they only respond to WES after receiving verification letter from WES by post/parcel.
