WES Evaluation

Document: Education (diplomas/degrees)

You must provide proof that you completed your post-secondary education. Examples of proof of education include a diploma and/or degree. Examples of post-secondary education are:

Trade/apprenticeship

Training in a specific trade, such as carpentry or auto mechanics;
Training in a profession that requires formal education but not at the university level (for example, dental technician or engineering technician); or
Training not at the university level for which a certificate/diploma is awarded.
Bachelor’s degree

This is an academic degree awarded by a college or university to those who completed an undergraduate curriculum (also called a baccalaureate). Example: a Bachelor of Arts, Science or Education.
Master’s degree

This is an academic degree awarded by a graduate school of a college or university.

Just wanted to clear this up - I don't need to upload my WES evaluation with this, correct? Just photocopies of my degrees?

Call this an over cautious approach but I would upload the following in color copies:

1) ECA
2) Degree Awarded
3) Transcripts

You either have to submit transcripts that is sealed by your university or have the university directly mail them the transcripts.

We are also planning to get evaluation from WES. I have certain doubt about this process. If anyone can help me on this, it will be highly appreciable.

I along with my husband is planning to get WES evaluation. I am a post graduate but do not want to evaluate my masters degree beacuse of some reason.so can i evaluate my bachelor degree only. Also, i would like to know that this evaluation will not give any bad impact on my job search as i will be searching jobs based on my masters degree.

Pls help !!

I'm guessing that you are talking about documents for your application after ITA?

Absolutely you need to upload your WES evaluation. Upload the evaluation, the diploma/degree and your transcripts.

Not evaluating your Masters Degree is fine. Just be aware that you will get less points for a Bachelor's degree as compared to a Masters Degree. The process is you send a 'legible' copy of your degree certificate to WES while your organize for your University to send a copy of the transcripts to WES. WES while match the copy of your degree sent to the copy of the transcripts sent by the University. They will then begin the Evaluation.

You are fine to use your Masters Degree to search for a job. However be aware of the following; some NOC codes state that a person must have certain qualifications in order to do a job specified in the area covered by the NOC code. If you were to submit a letter given by your employer stating you have worked in a certain occupation and CIC looks up that particular NOC code (which requires the person to have a Masters degree) and you have not declared you have a Masters degree you may be asked questions by CIC regarding how you are working in that occupation (given from their point of view and what they see on your EE profile, it does not show your Masters degree).

The explanation is helpful. I will go for master's degree evaluation otherwise it would be difficult for me to get a job in Canada.

Also, I am a dependent applicant, so do i need to submit all my previous employment records and bank records.
