I got my WES ECA as BACHELORS DEGREE (4Years)

The report detail shows TWO credentials as:

- Bachelors Degree (4Years)
- Bachelors Degree (3 Years)

Now should I treat this ECA as " TWO OR MORE CREDENTIALS & ONE OF THEM MUST BE FOR THREE OR MORE YEARS" ??

Unless you've done 2 distinct Bachelors degrees, you will have to choose Bachelors degree only.

Area of specialization is different for both bachelor degrees

Ideally, Yes. In your case, if you specifically have 2 distinct Bachelors degrees (instead of a Masters degree evaluated as a 4 year Bachelors) then you can certainly try and rationalize your choice of 'Two or more...'.

Dear Asivad

This is my ECA report analysis. Please guide.

1- Intermediate (Canadian secondary school)
2- 2 Yr Bachelor (2 Yr Canadian Diploma)
3- 1 Yr PGD Economics (3 Yr Canadian Bachelor)
4- 2 Yr MSc Economics (4 Yr Canadian Bachelor)
5- Advanced Diploma Management Accounting (3 Yr Canadian Bachelor)

Overall summary - Canadian Bachelor (4 years)

I imagine you will have to choose Bachelors because all your education appears related to each other. A Bachelors in Education or Journalism, for instance, would have helped you choose 'Two or more...' option.

CIC website does not mention any such relationship among degrees as a criteria to select points.

True. The site clearly says what to expect on an ECA report to be able to choose 'Two or more..' option. A degree along with a post-degree certificate/diploma (or unfinished Master's degree). It definitely doesn't say 2 Bachelors degrees. But I'm guessing it is worth taking a stand for 2 Bachelors degrees if one had 2 unrelated degrees else one must choose Bachelors (like so many others with BA/MA, BSc/MSc, BCom/MCom combos).

Hello all,

I got a three years diploma in engineering, based on that I got admitted to degree course. Because I already had a diploma, my four years degree course was reduced to three years ( I got admitted directly in second year of degree). considering these facts, my doubts are following.

1.should I submit both my degree and diploma credentials for ECA or only the latest one?
2.Will WES understand and consider my 3 years degree in bachelor of engineering equivalent to regular four years bachelor?
3.Please share if anyone has similar experiance.

Thanks.

If i put up my profile as "Two or more..." then how CIC assumes i have assessed it right?

Will they lower my score after checking details at the stage of ITA?

As stated by you, Your overall summary clearly states equivalency to only Bachelors 4 year degree and not two degrees.

CIC will compare what you have stated with the ECA report that you provide and if they don't match you are bound to be rejected and liable under misrepresentation.

That means to assume "Two or more degree..." the ECA report summary should also state the same. Thats rare as i havnt seen WES report like that

Which is precisely why I said it would be worth the fight and effort to claim 'Two or more degrees..' if you had a unique case that could be argued further. This argument will be presented to CIC only after you submit documents post ITA and then it is up to them to accept it or not. If they reject it, you won't be charged with misrepresentation because you would've attached an LOE highlighting this already so clearly you're not attempting to defraud the system. However, your PR application would be cancelled which would be conclusive proof that you cannot choose 'Two or more..' option. That's the only way you can get conclusive proof of choosing this or not.

All the best!
