wes evaluation report states not recognized

I am applying under NOC 1114 Financial Planner. I have completed my 3 year graduation in Bsc Maths and Computer Science and 2 years PGDM in Finance and Operations. I have got my ECA from WES. Online report shows graduation equilvilant to 3 years bachelor from Canada and Institution Status is Recognized. For PGDM it states equivalent to Masters Degree. When I received the hard copy I found everyother information matched. However, under PGDM Institution status it shows Not Recognized. Its a regualar 2 year diploma from one of the 10 business schools in New Delhi India, accecriated by AICTE.

I am scoring 69 points so if even m PGDM is not counted i conplete 67 points.

But CIC says I need to have a Finance degree for filing under NOC 1114. Please suggest would they consider my PGDM Finance for relevency to my Job or if Bsc Maths and Computer Science is sufficient ??

All other documents for filing PR are complete and I am ready with the file.

Please suggest shall I proceed like this or will mailing WES help ? Shall I send docs for reevaluation ? But is would take another 1 mnth. I am afraid files are filling fast. Please advice ASAP.

This requirement is not mandatory for CIC's purpose. From what you have said, you should be fine to apply right now. 67 points is enough and your diploma might still be considered by CIC since Wes evaluated it as equivalent to a master's degree.

i am BSC Punjab university, MSC(Microbilogy), MBA(HR) both from gurukul kangri university
WES only gave me 4 years bachelors equivalency hence getting only 21 points
IELTS i m scoring 20 Points
Age im scoring 12 points
work experience i have 6.3 years (3.3 years as Assistant manager HR then 3 years as an Executive in top notch pharma firm)
so i guess i will get 15 points
so total score comes out to be
Education=21
Age=12
IELTS=20
work experience=15
total=68
Now my question is as
1) i m applying for HR manager, but my degree is from Non recognized university related to human resource shall i apply?
2) i got the reference letter for work experience from both the employer and job duties are equivalent to the NOC 0112, HR Manager, will they consider my work experience relevant to HR manager? (i have everything related to my employment like form 16will and salary details plus both of my HR head said they are ok with any kind of verification )

kindly help as i m done with all my docs only DD need to be prepared, want to apply by monday....pls pls advice...

Here is my humble opinion, which I have double checked with a WWICS consultant. Not saying I am 100% correct, I may be wrong, but let me explain my self:

In My opinion, your work experience combined with your 21 points qualify you for applying. Here is the reasoning:

1. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-experience.asp : Categorically only refers to the experience matching the duties as listed in the NOC and not the employment requirements. There is no reference made to the edu qualifications being in line with the NOC related employment requirements. NOC database is used for a wide variety of purposes and the employment criteria serve another purpose.

2. Even the NOC 0112, when it elaborates the employment requirements, states a) Bachelor degree, MBA OR a Professional development program in IR or Personnel mgmt. It leaves room for ambiguity calling for any program, not necessarily a degree. I believe any HR certification also qualifies, as long as you get the 21 points per larger eligibility criteria.

You must apply because if they start rejecting also based on the employment education criteria, then believe me, there a lot of people in trouble.

I'll be filling for an ECA with WES soon and I'm not sure in order to get a master's degree evaluation what all supporting documents should I send along with the sealed transcripts. I've been reading a lot of threads and it seems everyone has received different evaluation from WES. Some people have even been able to get their evaluation changes from 'undergraduate study to masters' etc. etc. by sending some proof (not sure what) to WES about their course being equivalent to an MBA degree (people from GIM, IIM, XLRI, XIMB etc.)

I'm super confused as you must have guessed.

Would really appreciate any help/guidance!!

If you read through the rest of this thread you'll see that Himz didn't need to have the PGDM recognized to apply for PR and didn't bother going back to WES for a re-evaluation.

Hi ,Recently I received report from WES stated that my bachelor degree is from unrecognised but my master’s is equivalent to Canada 4years bachelor degree . So my question is with master’s degree can I apply for Express entry or I need bachelor degree also need to be equivalent . Please help
