WES Evaluation Help!! and new candidates applying for EE in May 2016

Hello! I am new to this forum, Can anyone please help me with my queries as I couldn't find recent updates for these.

I have done Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (3 year) from a NAAC credited Grade A University from India and Master of Science in Biotechnology from a NAAC credited grad A+ University, from India. Both my degrees are in first division.
As I did my WES evaluation with the free equivalency tool on the official WES website, they gave me equivalency as Master's U.S. but my friends and and other professionals in immigration are scaring me by saying that WES will not evaluate my degree as Master's. and I will Have to go with the optio of "two degrees or more" thing option.

This will be a huge setback for me as, with a Master's degree I get 453 CRS points and otherwise I am left on 446, and my chances for EE will become close to zero, as till date no pool has gone below 450 and I have no hope that it will ever as everybody is saying it will not go below that. This wait is killing me I have put so much into my this endeavor.

Anyone having any insight or experience as to how WES evaluates such degrees, please help. Is there no chance that I might get Master's and like ppl have been telling me that only number of years matter to the WES and noting else, and hence their free equivalency is only a sham. Please with any knowledge help. As of yesterday my status on my WES account id "evaluation in progress" no idea when will I get my report, I guess I willl not be able to enter the pool till 10th may . Please help.

P.S- Also any candidates applying in 2016 or have been successful in their ITA , Please lets's connect here and share and help newbie's like me.

In my opinion, you should get Master degree equivalency.
Nevertheless, now that evaluation in progress is there, you can expect the ECA from Wes in around 7-10 working days, since they changed the status to evaluation in progress.
Don't worry, and wait for the ECA

WES will see the Subjects you have learned and credits you have acquired. They will compare with Canada Education and give you equivalency. As you have 3 yrs Bachelors and Masters ( hope it is at least 1 yr) your chances of getting Masters are bright. But in some cases masters of 1 yr is considered as 1 yr graduate and 2 yrs Masters is mostly given as Masters. good luck

WES will see the Subjects you have learned and credits you have acquired. They will compare with Canada Education and give you equivalency. As you have 3 yrs Bachelors and Masters ( hope it is at least 1 yr) your chances of getting Masters are bright. But in some cases masters of 1 yr is considered as 1 yr graduate and 2 yrs Masters is mostly given as Masters. good luck

Kindly help me!!!

I have received ECA report for both bachelors (B.Sc/ Biochemistry - 3 years from Indian recognized university) and Masters( M.Sc/ Genetics - 2 years from Indian recognized University) and it says

Under the Bachelor's section - Canadian Equivalency - Bachelor's degree 4 years

Under the Master's Section - Canadian Equivalency - one year of graduate study

I am upset if my masters is not equivalent.

I wonder if i did any mistake while submitting reports!

Found this reply from someone on this forum in 2015, I am dying with worry, this is such an unfair system, you cannot even challenge them!! My PR option is over if I don't get my master's, any one having known someone who had credentials like mine and was given master's,, please helpp and give me some ray of hope!! The wait is killing me.

Gurik, I understand your worry and impatience. But it wont help you anyhow. Your best best is to wait till your ECA comes. Sorry dont know anyone with your credential but I have got masters assessed with eighteen months of MBA (outside India).

yeah, i know you're right, but this anticipation just gets beyond you. I agree with you. It's just that I have only till October 2016 for this endeavor, otherwise i'll have to drop it unwillingly, so....
Anyway if you don't mind can you tell me what was your Bachelor's degree in??

Plus FYI My wife has 3yr B.com(H) with Masters (distance Learning). WES Initial Assessment gave her bachelor equivalency for masters also, which is not in your case. Her official ECA should come by tuesday too.

Why till october 2016? you lose further marks for age or what? What's your IELTS Score? Have you considered sitting for it again if you can get more marks by improving your score?

Actually my father is going to help me with settlement funds, and ultimatum to try for this till october 2016
I have no problem with age I am 26 only, my IELTS is L-8.5, R-8.0, w-7.0,s-8.0
if i retake i only have a scope to improe and get maximum 3 points, as I have maximum in all 3 modules except writing so. that is on hold till WES comes.
