WES Evaluation for Ontario Colleges [Graduate Certificate]

Hello, I have a query which is the same as mentioned in the title? Do we have to provide WES evaluation to Ontario Colleges for applying to Graduate Certificates?

The website of most of the colleges I've seen state that they require WES Evaluation for education outside of Canada, but after browsing through the forums of this website, I've seen people applying through only scanned copies of their transcripts/degrees.

My situation: I've applied to a graduate certificate program in Durham College today, it was showing open for international students (Fall 2019) but the website stated that the WES evaluation must be received to the college before February 1st.

If anyone has experience for applying to colleges, can you please shed some light on this topic? I am planning to get my documents evaluated in 1-2 weeks, but the date of most of the programs would've been passed before I receive my evaluation. But I have applied for Durham College without my evaluation (also paid the application fees).

I would only be applying to Graduate Certificate as I am a Bachelor's Degree holder in Computer Science.

No, you do not require WES evaluation for applying with a foreign education if you are an International student. WES evaluation is only for Canadian domestic students who have studied outside Canada.

International requests for credit transfer must include a course-by-course credential assessment from either World Education Services(WES) or the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS).

In any other case you will just need to upload documents which is mentioned in this page

Yes, some colleges are better at pointing out this, while others are more confusing. This applies to all colleges, at least in Ontario.
