WES ECA - For Diploma + Engineering Graduates

Hi,

I am new to this forum and in similar situation.

I have done 10 + 3 year diploma ( Maharashtra state board) + 3 year degree - Mumbai university (joined 2nd year degree directly).

Looking at the posts looks like we get 2 year diploma + degree evaluation from WES and this would translate to "Two or more certificates diplomas or degrees". But just wanted to confirm on my understanding since this makes a big difference in the CRS score.

Can you please check and advise on this understanding? Have we seen anyone who has been able to successfully go thru the PR process with this condition?

I have applied for getting the diploma transcripts from MSBTE in Bandra, Mumbai. I am awaiting transcripts from them.

i have done 10th then 12th and then diploma , then engineering(B.Tech) and then Masters in Technology(M.Tech). For both diploma and engineering, it was lateral entry for me. Please suggest me should i register for all the three Diploma , B.tech and M.tech. or Only B.tech and M.tech. Also please suggest me what should i select in the course duration from and to columns.

I would suggest to include all diploma, degree and Masters since it does not harm to included everything. It won't make any difference to cost. They can evaluate depending on whatever their process is.

I my diploma is also Later entry ( direct second year) with my 12th Std . thats why confused.

Also , i am ok with updated both Diploma and Degree, My confusion is to fill the date( From and to) whether 4 years or 3 years

my B.tech is from June 1999 to may 2002 (from 2nd year to 4th year) but actual date is June 1998 to May 2002( actual batch from 1st year to 4th year) ( i have the mark sheet only from 3rd Sem to 8th Sem)

Diploma is from June 1997 to May 1999( from 2nd year to 3rd year ) But actual dates are June 1996 to May 1999 ( 3 year course) ( I have mark sheet from ( 3rd Sem to 6th Sem)

Which date to give in the application is the confusion. Bcoz the wrong update will leads to delay in the process(even it may take more than 3 months also)

So please suggest. if any one has applied with similar kind of .

If you evaluate just your Mtech and if it gets evaluated as master's, that would do for maximummCRS .

For that your institute has to be recognized.

Please check equivalency from wes equivalency tool...

So on CIC- CRS calculator even if I select 9 score in each domain, my total comes to 441 i.e only 6 points more than current. So re-appearing for IELTS will not be a solution.

If you can tell me which option to select if WES outcome comes out to be-

Diploma (3 years): got evaluated as Secondary School Diploma and Diploma (2 years)

Bachelor of Engineering (3 years): Bachelor's Degree (4 years)

I have the same qualification. What is your summary in the WES report.

For me at first it was Degree 4 Years and then i wrote to wes and they changed it to Diploma 2 year and Degree 4 Year.

I have done SSC >>Diploma from autonomous institute >> degree in engineering . I havesent transcripts of both diploma and degree. But my final evaluation of WES states Bachelors degree (4 years). I wrote to WES for reviewing it. I am still waiting for a reply from them. Had anyone faced similar issue and WES considered and changed later to Diploma 2 years?

I am Lateral entry in diploma - studied 2 years (3 year course)
Also Later entry in Bachelors degree - Studied 3 years (4 year course)

My WES is
Diploma --> Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
B.Tech --> Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

Hi,

I'm currently applying ECA for my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. As a matter of fact, I'm a lateral entry student. My study process was 10th + Diploma in Mechanical Engineering ( 2 years ) + B.E. Mechanical Engineering ( 3 years ). So can I send only the Degree transcript for my ECA or shall I send both? My only concern is to get validation for my Engineering degree, not for the Diploma. Please help me, guys.

Send both Diploma+Bachelors. The fees is the same. Send all the documents under same application.

Hi,
Just an info...Always send all the transcripts to WES including Diploma. As WES considers Diploma as a degree, you will get a ECA as Dual Degree.Also it avoids confusion of the missing 1 year in your bachelors.I had got my ECA for both Diploma and Bachelors in Engineering.

If your Diploma is from state board or any other recognized board or university, You can send a request to WES via contact us page, to update your evaluation as Diploma two years and Bachelor degree (4 year )

just write polity, there are people on this board who have successfully done that.

I have written to them and hoping they take it positively. However my diploma is from an autonomous institute and it is recognised by AICTE.
