WES ECA - For Diploma + Engineering Graduates

Hi, Could someone help me with WES ECA for a 4 year BE(CSE) from Panjab University and 2 year PGDM/MBA from KJ Somaiya, Mumbai. Does MBA in India certified as a Masters degree or as '2 or more post-secondary...'

Hi,
My qualification is exactly same as yours. I got the ECA done last year and the following is the outcome:
Diploma --> Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
B.Tech --> Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

i am planning to proceed my WES this week, my qualification is same like you , so y question is have you got two transcript like one from DOTE nd ONE from Anna university or you just submitted the three year B.tech degree certificate to the WES

if you need WES to evaluate both BTech and DOTE you have to submit transcripts for both.. only then WES summary will list both degrees which then eligible for CRS points under Two or more degrees option..

am too of similar case, i did my diploma after 10th from Maharashtra state board and then degree from mumbai university.
below if my Canadian equivalency from WES

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years) and bachelor's degree (four years)

Below are my questions.
1) Do i get additional points for education over and above bachelors degree.
2) Also i created the EE profile and in education section i selected "bachelors degree" for my computer engg i.e bachelor degree and then i selected
"Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" for my Diploma qualification.
When i saw the over all points it seems i got the extra points in education.
Is the above correct?? ( this question relates to question 1 itself)

1. Do I need to send my Diploma Transcripts to WES ?
2. What is the Credentials for this pattern of education according to WES ?

Hi,

i have done 10th then 12th and then diploma and then engineering. For both diploma and engineering, it was lateral entry for me. WES sent me report as Bachelors degree four year in summary and canadian equivalency for diploma as secondary school diploma and diploma 2 years. After that i made a request to them to update summary with both qualifications. So they updated it in two days as Diploma 2 years and Bachelors Degree four years. So now i am able to select two or more options without any hesitation.

I have sent only engineering transcripts and now my application is on hold stating that my first year marks are missing. Could you please elaborate on your instance on how you have submitted (both diploma and engineering transcripts?) and how you have requested (through email or customer care call). Hi though, mine Eca status is also similar to yours. Where I have done diploma plus degree . So my transcript for degree is from 3rd semester and so it is in hold. How have you processed you applications and what are the further documents required . Please share.

Thanks for your quick reply , even I called Wes customer care and they have forwarded the same to concern department for review. Will post the details of the outcome.
And in Wes FAQ there is nothing related to lateral degree required documents , which makes bit more difficult.
One more thing if we send diploma transcript now still how will they understand our country education process of lateral entry to Engineering, since when I spoke to Wes customer care they told whether it states that first year is not required. They needs document specifying that first year is not required. And now who will provide that document , does Indian University provides the same ?.
Anyways will post the reply from them.

My qualification matches exactly with you. I sent my degree for wes assesment and it is equivalent to 4 year bachelor degree. Now i am planning to send both diploma and degree so that i can get points for two degree or diploma

Just wanted a clarification here. So, you just sent the transcript of your bachelors degree (3 years) to WES and they considered it to be equivalent to 4 years Bachelor Degree, Is that right ? And, am assuming I don't need to send my Diploma certificates / transcripts if I want evaluation to my Bachelors Degree.
