WES ECA Application No Surname in Passport

Hello,

I am going to apply for WES ECA credential conversion. I have an issue with my name.
In my passport the name is as below:

Given Name : A B
Surname :

In my Canadian records:

First name:
Surname: A B

When I contacted WES regarding this the advised to put "." where name is missing.

I just wanted to ask if anyone been in the same situation knows how to handle this without an issue with CIC.
Should I complete the WES application as First name as "." (As per Canadian records) or Surname as "." (As per my passport)

My degree certificate just says A B. It doesn't split as First Name and Last Name

Please help. Many thanks.
