I had applied for Canada PR in 2014 (an year before Express Entry started) and that time, it was a paper based system with no CRS score or draws. I had taken help from an agency to apply who amongst other things, asked me to get my ECA done from WES for my Masters only (while I am Bachelors in Commerce + MBA) post which I got my ECA results from WES that my degree is equivalent to 'Masters'. However, I could not pursue my application that time.
I have applied again in 2017 using Masters' only ECA and other required info, and got ITA, and in the process of collating the required documents for uploading. However, I was advised by few people that I should get my ECA done for Bachelors' also since that would be a natural expectation from CIC to get both Bachelors and Masters done together, as WES also does it for both usually. Hence, for the same, I used the 'Add credential' option and have sent my Bachelors' degree copy and transcripts (in sealed envelope) and awaiting ECA report.
Meanwhile, my big question is that I would be getting a new reference no. for the new report (which would be a upgraded report of Bachelors+Masters I guess) and I also have an old reference no. for only-Masters' ECA. So is it that both reference nos. are going to be valid (and both are valid as Masters' ECA) or is it that the old reference number (for Masters only) would expire and I am supposed to use the new reference number only for both Bachelors and Masters' ECA? Please help in resolving this doubt. Thanks so much.
