Who did you complain to happy16, was it by email or telephone call? Is it a WES department or some other body? Thanks

From 12th Feb my application status shows

Documents received - review in progress.

The standard processing time is twenty business days. If additional research, correspondence or verification is required, the evaluation will take longer.

Do i need to stay 20 business days or may be longer in spite of sending documents directly from University .

I think that if your WES order says "Evaluation in Progress" then they have received the docs from your university CanDreamerz. Canada Post are dreadful, my friend couriered his application to CIC and Canada Post lost track of it, but it turned out that they had delivered it on time but just didn't record this fact. Hopefully it will be the same for you; if WES didn't have it by now I think they would be requesting it in the "Documents Required" section of your order

Thanks Conor9900 for the update. Ya, I hope so :)

My wife's WES assessment was completed yesterday. It took them exactly 1 month to have it done (received by them on jan 23rd and finished on feb 23rd).

I've already downloaded the PDF file which includes the code (reference number) requested on the EE system.

Appreciate the update adrscuds. They seem to be very random with the processing of applications, some are done immediately and some take ages

For what it's worth, my WES ECA was done in three business days. On 18 Feb the documents were received by them and on 20 Feb the status was changed to "Evaluation in progress". Today (25 Feb) I received notification that the evaluation was complete, so it took them three working days (excluding weekend).

Possibly it depends on which university you attended, in what country and what courses you took. Or maybe they have several different people who do these evaulations and some work faster than others?

What I suspect is that people/teams are assigned to different countries' institutions and therefore some teams may have more transcripts to deal with than others due to the high demand for ECA from certain countries/regions such as India, Pakistan and the Caribbean.

I'm in Jamaica and I know of at least six persons at my company who are currently trying to migrate to Canada. When I did the IELTS last month there were about 60 people doing the test that day and most were probably trying for Canada.

Ah well, that may be a good explanation. I don't see many people from Europe on the forum, so the supposed "European" division of WES probably has little to do. I think few people from Europe want to migrate to Canada because we can move freely to UK, Ireland, France, Germany and wherever we like without any hassle - the borders are open.

I was sitting the IELTS on 7 Feb and there were about 30 people, almost everyone looked like they were doing it to study abroad. I felt like an old dinosaur there :)

Hi Seniors,

I received a sealed cover of transcript from my University do i need to send the sealed envelope covered by a new envelope to WES or i need to open the envelope and send the documents alone in a single envelope. Kindly advise.

of course you shouldn't open a sealed envelope! you can put them all in one big one.

Thank you Hamgha. One more query- My husband is the main applicant so inside the big cover can I have two separate covers one for my husbands and one for mine and can I send it to WES or should I send both of us as a separate one? kindly advise.

I think you can but e sent them separately since we had differnt reference numbers. You gotta show the difference that they're for different applictions
