hi!
thanks for the reply.
Yes Thapar institute and university is same . and yes i did the equivalency tool & it says its equal to MBA in canada. but i think this tool is not enough to study or get job in canada.
I want to start my career but m stuck to know where my education stands in canada and what do i need to study more. Also i wanted to know that to apply in any university in future for any course do i need the official document again from my university for the credential evaluation or WES will send it to them once i do my credential evaluation with WES and do every university in canada accept the WES evaluation?? how long is it valid?

Thanks

hi
I am new to this forum seeking help regarding my credential evaluation. I have recently shifted from india. i have done MBA from Thapar University, Patiala, punjab, India and wanted my degree to be evaluated so that i could start my career here in canada. i was registering in WES for evaluation and couldn't find my University. Thapar is an old and registered university under UGC but anyhow i can't find it and even MBA is not under higher education. what should i do.. am i doing it under wrong program or services or WES doesn't do evaluation for MBA ?
Or should i opt some other website for evaluation?
please help.
Thanks

Hi Aakrity,

have you tried using free degree equivalency tool ? MBA is mentioned in the list but university name mentioned is Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. I can't say if both the universities are different or same.

Regards.

Hi!

Yes i did use the tool and it says that My MBA is equal to MBA in canada. But I think this tool is not enough to study or get job in Canada or I am stuck to know where my education stands in canada. Does every university in Canada accept this evaluation from WES and also i was confused that if in future i wanted to study or apply for some job which needs 'the official document' or credits from the university i passed back home, then does i have to ask my university to send the official document again to do the evaluation (which is very hard)??
how long the WES evaluation valid?
n Yes thapar univ and institute are same, even my LM school of thapar comes under the same premises when i was student.
and one more quetsion.. i have done my bachelor's degree in science i.e BSC. medical from punjabi University, patiala, India . So is it mandatory to evaluate my BSc with MBA?

Thanks

First of all I'm assuming that you are already a PR holder in Canada. In this case, there are various services offered by WES like for students, job seekers, immigrants, employers, educators, professional licensing. For you the immigrant package should be good enough as its valid for pursuing education or work in Canada. The tool is just an initial check if your university is accepted by WES or not. Yes, WES report is acceptable almost US & Canada (not sure of any other country) and it is enough for the job. As far as I know the report is valid for 5 years. As per WES, you just have to evaluate your highest degree, but if you want both to be evaluated then also its possible within the same cost.

Regards.

Hi kanya2281, your inbox its full.

About you question inbox to me... "Hi Sir,I need help with my NewZealand POlice clearance. I have sent the consent to disclosure form to Canada embassy. Ministry of justicecertificate was not accepted. Please help. How much time did it take in your case?
Please do reply.Regards,"

Did you sent both of forms? "instructions_police_NZ-en form" (CONSENT TO DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION) and the "criminal-conviction-history form" of Ministry of justice??

Ministry of justice records are not aceptable. I took about 2 months waiting notice about the consent.

I recieved last week 2 answers of one e-mail sent in may-21 to Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo/Brazil.

The 1 answer(jun-29-2015) they said: "We are still waiting for the results of the criminal record check from New Zealand. As we (here in the office in São Paulo) rarely request criminal record checks from the authorities in New Zealand, I am unsure as to how long it usually takes to receive a response from them."

The 2 answer(jun-30-2015) they sent the PPR.

Have you had tried some contact with Sidney?

TIP: when you send an e-mail, put you process number(EPxxxx) at subject.

I wish you luck

PEQ Noc and salary

Hi there,
I need your help concerning PEQ program.
I am about to send out all the documents to apply for CSQ under PEQ. I work as a buyer NOC 6233 but my salary Is only 13 dollars per hour.
Do you think that this may be a problem? Do the consider only the NOC number or also the salary? Anybody in the same situation? Thanks for your help.

I. Can anyone help me to clarify the following?

The college from which i have taken my Engineering degree (4year) is not listed in WES list of university (UGC approved). Do I need to go with CES or other ECA evaluation board?

I have done MBA from SCDL (symbiosis center for distance learning), which is a subsidiary of symbiosis university, India. Am i eligible for my masters degree score?

1) Any other verifying body will take up too much time. You can send WES a mail asking them the same question you asked here. May be you will get an answer.

2) Please use the WES free equivalency tool to check if WES will evaluate it to masters.

Thanks,

Raj

I have a question, is there any point applying for WES if you know the masters you have completed is not from a recognised university. (SPJAIN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT). Will the point system be affected we request to evaluate both degree and PG dip anyway or would it be wiser to just apply one (degree) and be safer?

Check if any other organizations have your university under their "recognized universities" list. If yes, then go ahead with that organization. Otherwise, go with WES (at least you get faster processing time). No harm in getting the diploma evaluated (you pay the same fee anyway) - This will not be a problem in any way.

Thank you for your response, but won't it affect the point system saying highest degree MBA but non recognised university. YES WES has the fastest processing time. I have been reading a lot, narrowing it down to the fact just stick to sending one and getting points on that only.

I will check with others as well. My only concern is I don't want to lose out on points if WES states that highest degree attained (MBA) from "Non-recognized" and would this override my recognised degree (BBM) from Bangalore University? Cos CIC focuses on the highest degree equivalency right? :) On the other hand, I might be extremely lucky and have both stamped as canadian equivalency degrees. Being optimistic :D
Agreed in terms of cost it won't matter.

Well, you don't lose anything here. If WES evaluates your degree, great! If it doesn't then no problem. You will NOT be able to claim points anyway if you don't have the ECA for your MBA.

So, check with other ECA issuing organizations first. Based on whether they recognize your university or not, decide further.

Thank you so much. Doing that as of now. So, if I don't get ECA for my MBA but do get ECA for my BBM, it's still good yes? Forgive me, for asking more clarity into the matter :)
