WES assessment required?

Hi All,

I have just completed my PG diploma from Canada and I did my bachelors from India. Do I need to undergo WES assessment for my Indian bachelor degree in order to apply for PNP or CEC in Canada? or can I just use my Canada PG diploma for PR application?

If you don’t need the points for your degree and are eligible without it and just using PG diploma then no.

Thank you for the quick response!. Just a question, Will my bachelor degree counts separate points or since I have a PG diploma (which is a higher qualification than degree) will i get maximum points for PG diploma? Thanks again!

Unless your PG diploma is a masters, you will not get more points than a degree. You get points for one or two year diploma for your PG. If you get your degree assessed as three or more years then you can select two or more programs and get more points,

WES is a requirement for any education outside Canada. On the WES website you can find all the related information. Hope this helps.

Choose another ECA organization and see if it is accepted.

I am not sure but somewhere on the website says that some unis are not included in the list and you can enter manually. Drop an email to WES regarding this.
