Hello,

were any of you asked to relinquish your PR card after the citizenship test?

Thanks

It should happen this way:

Once you are granted citizenship, you are no longer a permanent resident (PR) and your PR card will no longer be valid. CIC will collect your PR card at the citizenship ceremony.

Foody69 is correct. Your PR card is not taken away at the citizenship test.

Thanks for your help

Were you or someone you know? Why do you ask?

Someone that became citizen last year mentioned this but I think she is confused with the timing

Oh, yeah, they usually take it at the oath ceremony.
