You shouldn't appeal. As others said, you were correctly refused since you cannot sponsor while you are on welfare / social assistance. You should reapply once you have stopped taking social assistance.I lost my job after being with my husband for two months in his country I come back and my job is gone I couldn't get the EI they refuse me twice it's my only alternative to get some kind of income was welfare this is while my a pill that was in effect I didn't even think at the time it would hurt us I don't know what's going to happen my appeal day is this December I quickly got off of it after on November I'm really worried but I screwed up things not even realizing this could screw up things
The rules ARE fair. When you apply to sponsor your spouse you are responsible to support him/her. NOT Canadian taxpayers.I got a job I can support him I just need assistance for a couple months because I lost my job I don't get what people think you should do or what you can do if you lose your job while sponsoring someone it's not fair to the people that want to sponsor someone when they lose their job thus not the rules are just not fair
If you were previously working and lost your job you'd be on EI not welfare. You decided to quit and visit your husband for 2 months.I got a job I can support him I just need assistance for a couple months because I lost my job I don't get what people think you should do or what you can do if you lose your job while sponsoring someone it's not fair to the people that want to sponsor someone when they lose their job thus not the rules are just not fair
No sure what you are trying to say. There are very limited circumstances in which a person can quit and still qualify for EI. Your situation seems to be a completely personal choice to leave your job to go visit your spouse long-term, so you didn't qualify.People do get from down on EI that happens
Yes - that will most likely still be a problem. You will need to stop taking welfare a few months before you submit the application (a few days is not enough time). You will also need to remain off welfare while the application is being processed - which will likely take around 12 months.Hello readers,
this is a very important question and i appreciate every single reply!!
I want to be sponsor my husband . But I am on welfare. If I turn off welfare several days before submitting the paper, will there be any problem?
Pls help me.
