so did you join with your file you just sent yesterday a letter saying that you already have sent an application before and you didn't get any answers from them???
 
No. We were thinking of sending the letter too, but we have decided not to do it. If you are worried how it goes you can wait for ours to be received and then continue with yours.

a friend on this website,offered to me to be my representative to just get us news where the application is,and put it on the right place,but only to deal with the Mississauga,,,

ouh thank you very much,,,yeah it is really frustrating,but nothing we can do about it now,what happened ,happened,,,so now we are just trying to fix it
 
The file is lost! It has been confirmed today.

Our lawyer contacted Mississauga office last week and he confirmed to us today that our file is nowhere to be found. It is misplaced, filed incorrectly...we could call it lost. It might turn up anytime but he advised us again to apply again.

But there is unfortunate news with that too:
we have sent the new application on Monday and it should arrive today or tomorrow, but my husband got a phone call from Canada post, that he payed unsufficiant postage and the package has been delayed. What is terrible, is that he has an account with Canada post and he could be charged extra automatically but post employees have been stupid not to do it. So...our file is only gonna be resent tomorrow.

That means we start from the get go. And now we can expect first stage done only in the beginning of May.
 
Well, at least you can get it going again! Its very strange that they asked for extra bank statements if the file was lost though! Is there any way of finding out who the person was who asked for those?
 
arunsgirl,,,since it has been confirmed that the file was lost today,is really good,,,not like in my case,my wife kept calling them since November and they always say,it is in process,,,
but did you put your lawyer as your representative ?!!!because noons is able to look at your own personal informations with the immigration unless you took him as a representative
anyway,,,my wife is still printing off our conversations,getting ready to resend another application,but a friend wanna first try and contact the Mississauga office and see if she can find it,,,,we need to know for how long it's gonna take

Thant you for your thoughts and support on this Mohamed. Our lawyer is a friend of a friend so he is doing this as a favor. He is not our representative but he knows someone in the Mississauga, and that is how we got the information that the file is misplaced/lost. If we call the call center they have been saying In progress til Monday but we called yesterday and we spoke to two really nice agents. First one was very concerned because files from February 22nd are being processed now and ours is January and still hasn't been done. So she advised us to call back with a tracking number from Canada Post. We did so and spoke to a different agent who told us, he will email Mississauga office with an inquiry about the file, because he doesn't see the file in the system.
So that was for the first time not answering In Progress.
After that about 2 hours later our lawyer called and told us, he got information the file can't be located.

Kaycee, I am also finding it strange they have asked for bank statements and now the file is lost, but we did call them a few times after the bank statements have been sent in. We tried to get a confirmation if they have received the bank statements and they never gave us the answer, the only answer was that the file is in process.

So, weird.

We are waiting patiently ... again.

im getting a representative to try and find where the file is,,,but my wife is doing the new application too,,,so we will see what we got
