Hi,
We got a request for my wife's RCMP criminal record check last week. When we received the certificate today and tried to upload it to mycic, there was no place to upload it in my wife's section. However, there was a replacement required in my section. Did anyone have the same problem before? Thanks.

Hi,

Did you receive the request just for your wife? Was it clearly stated?
I'm asking because I'm the principal applicant and received an RCMP request as well, but it doesn't mention anything about spouse so I'm not sure if it's just for me or both of us, since both have been living in Canada for the same amount of time.
Thank you

Hey EdieRo,

The letter will clearly state who the RCMP is requested for.

In my case, I was asked to submit my RCMP even though my GCMS notes show that the request was for my spouse. I called up the agent and emailed them and got confirmation from both that the RCMP was for me but I went ahead and did the RCMP for both of us.

As I suspected, after I submitted my RCMP, the officer requested for my spouse RCMP an hour later with only 7 days deadline. Good thing I had prepped in advance and I was able to submit it right away.

Thanks,
Al

Hi,
It was clearly stated with my wife's name. My GCMS notes confirmed that too.

Interesting!
Do you remember how long it took for RCMP to be delivered by post?
I'm going to order GCMS notes as well.
Thank you!

Spouse did her RCMP on May 16th and received it on May 24th.
I did mine on May 18th, approved on May 23rd but received it on May 30th.
