Website asks for previous permanent residence file number- I'm confused

Hi everyone, I hope you can help. I have received ITA (phew, after 1.5 years in the EE pool) and am trying to fill up the PR application web form.

One of the questions is "have you applied for permanent residency before" and it asks for my previous permanent residency file number, which the system autofilled with my previous Express Entry number (my previous express entry profile expired in December 2016).

I'm a little confused. I know I have a previous Express Entry application, but is that the same as a Permanent Residence application? And I dont think I've ever had permanent residence file numbers apart from just my express entry numbers.

Bump!

Even I am having a similar issue. I had to decline a previous ITA and my first EE profile expired. I am now completing my application for my ITA on my second EE profile. So what should I answer for:

1. Has xxxx applied to immigration before?
2. Has xxxx applied to PR before?
3. PR File number? Is this the same as the Express Entry profile number for the expired profile?
4. UCI Number?

Please advise on what I should correctly enter. Thank you.

Creating the express entry profile is not the PR application. Once you get the ITA and submit the documents, you will receive the AOR with file number. If believe, both of your cases are not upto this stage. You may mark the question 'have you applied before for PR' as NO.

Regarding the UCI - if you have applied for work permit before then you can find that in the top right section.
