Hi jptskt, quick question I saw on your timeline you received AOR2 before you received your medical request? is that correct? my husband is currently in the process of spousal sponsorship and so far we have received AOR1, Sponsor Approved(SA) and our latest letter from IRCC is that our file has now been transfered to my husband local visa office but no medical request... just find it strange as most people who applied during the same month as me received medical request before file transfer... any feedback will be appreciated.

I completed 100days since AOR. I have same message. Background check not started medical passed 95 days ago. Even eligibility criteria review is not complete yet

My scenario is kinda different.. Got aor 1,sa, meds cleared, additional docs is being reviewed and background check started processing but yet to receive mail regarding aor 2.....does bgc start before aor 2 or after aor 2

Some VOs don’t even send AOR2. If your ecas for PA has a line “We started processing your application on....” it can be considered AOR2 as well.

My ecas is bit dumb.. Its still in process status and the last line meds received...
In my gc key bgc it says" we are processing your background check. We will inform you when we need more information.. " like that

If your ecas is “In process” then your file most likely got transferred to VO already. They may not even send you AOR2 because some VOs don’t do it.

Hi, my (PA) Ecas has been in process ever since I was able to access it (before AOR). I got DM on the sponsor’s Ecas but still no SA email nor medical request. On the same day they approved my sponsor, my bgc status changed to “processing, we will send you a message”. Is it possible they already transferred my file without communicating it to me or that it will stay in Canada since I’ve been in Canada for the past 4 years but applied Outland?? I’m not from a visa exempt country and normally my VO would be Mexico

Hi, I think your best guess would be to contact the call center (it’s better to call early in the morning and might take a while to get a hold on an agent). It took us a while to get an email indicating the file transfer so my husband contacted the call center and they told him that our application had been transferred to the local VO even before we got that email from them. Even if they haven’t transferred it yet, I’m sure they already have information on their computer if it’s going to stay in Mississauga or be transferred to your local VO.
