Hi all,
I have been reading through this forum for a while now, as I have been going through the process of sponsoring my significant other. Many of the posts here have been hugely helpful as we navigate the endless wait.
I wanted to look through the data that the Canadian government processes and figure out what the numbers look like for 2020. Here is the the tl;dr of it:
December data is not yet out. Data source is open.canada.ca
Please write your MPs and ask them to hold the IRCC accountable. If we hit only 50% of our set target in our regular jobs, we won't have a job the next day, and yet these folks consistently under deliver.
PS. for the sake of being extremely pedantic, I am aware that the data set description is for "Admissions" and it's possible to have a decision and no admission yet, but I refuse to believe that over 50% of folks who got DM in October have not come to Canada, after being away from their loved ones for so long. So the conclusion that IRCC has fallen behind their target is still valid.
