Hello everyone,
I submitted yesterday my EE profile. Today I received this email from CIC:
Your application status has changes.
To check what's changed with your application's status:
1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click Check full application status under View the applications you submitted.

When I log in into MyGC key account there is no changes.
What does it mean to receive ghost update at this stage?

same thing happened to me, i received this email this Saturday and nothing has been changed after I checked, which kinda worries me cuz I haven't received a biometrics collection letter

This email came the day after I opened my Express Entry profile on September. Nothing has happened since then...

They say it's usually when an immigration officer takes a look into your profile. You have to wait and see.
