It means they’re processing the application - pretty straightforward. It doesn’t necessarily indicated BGC has started but it means they are working on the file, which is positive.

Just wait, it may take a few more weeks to send the bio request. Don't worry, if early aprt of your process, bio is rarely a constraint for them to start other parts.

"We started processing your application" means pretty much what it says.

Hey folks,

I was just able to check ECAS - couldn't figure out how to access it before. I am sponsoring my husband and we filed our application in December. We haven't received any updates on GCKey after he passed his medical exam, but ECAS says this:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 21, 2018.
2. We started processing your application on March 30, 2019.
3. We sent you medical instructions on February 22, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.

Could this mean that his BGC has started?

Oh and just to be clear, mine says this:

1. We received your application to sponsor [NAME] on December 21, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 21, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on February 20, 2019.

I got permanent application number in March 2022....on same day I got spouse biomatric request. After that nothing any update. When login.... It's showing "your application is processing.... We will send you a message when there is an update or we need more information" .... So What's the next step?
