:o Hi.....this is my first post ::).. I have been reading posts on here for over a year, as you can see I applied for pr may 2. In nov I received a ppr, I was very excited because i thought i would get copr soon.. NOPE... they requested documents i had already sent, FBI, CQI, and it seemed that i was lost in the system with my paperwork. I mailed several emails off and sent all of the requested documents off again. I am still waiting...... I am from the USA and my husband is sponsoring me. I am sure that I will receive copr, but when..... who knows... What I want to post is that it is important to keep copies of everything you send and everything sent to you. Also, not to try to understand when you will get copr. Waiting is difficult, but everything that is really important is worth it..

have you tried to contact your MP (member of parliament)? people have suggested they are able to get more information from CIC than appliants are, so they may be able to help find out what's causing the delay. Apparently, CIC is obligated to respond to an MP's request.

;D Yes! contacting a MP was my wonderful husbands Idea as well. He called our MP and she indeed called CIC. Our MP stated, I have good news for you today, you were approved today, you will hear from them soon..... and that was 3 days ago.. I am still waiting for anything official.. and do not expect anything soon..... This is why I started to post here..To share my long wait...and to say, don't worry if you hear nothing or if many people get pr before you.. There is no rhyme or reason to the way cic does there work.. hang in there, like me... I have been waiting over a year now..

Congratulations! If you have any interest in French classes, Québec's immigration ministry offers some great French classes for FREE to immigrants. I'll be happy to post some links. I just finished six months of full-time French classes, and I pretty much consider myself bilingual now. :)

QuebecOkie i'm interested in those links as well :D i'm currently doing french classes because i don't wanna get there without knowing anything , i speak pretty ok , but still, FREE courses sound awesome ;D

I took the intensive full-time classes, and they were INCREDIBLE.
