We got it!!!!!!!

Dear all
After a looooong waiting of 3 yrs 10 mnths we got our visa stamped this week. Visa is valid upto Jun08 and we are planning to land by May08.

How long did you wait after your medicals before you were asked to submit passport for visa?

Thank you all. Thanks for your nice words. Yes, we are really thrilled to see the dream come true after 3 years 10 months. CIC started processing our visa by Nov2003. Our visa office was CHC Colombo.

We have applied through a consultant and their expert advice helped us a lot. Submitted the documents well in advance and we are lucky to have the interview waived.

We received the waiver notice & medical forms by Jun07 & did medical by end of june and submitted the documents CHC asked for (like renewed reference letter from current employer, PCC etc) by July first week.

The visa was confirmed by Aug end. To our great surprise, we knew it from CIC site!!! eventhough most of us are suspecious about whether they really update it.

Our visa is valid upto Jun08 and we are planning to fly by May.
