No this is the first time I am getting medical request why ?

oh my situation is different, i applied for express entry and i have done my medical test already. what about you?

Hi all,
The status of medical for my application now shows as' we are reviewing results of your medical exam'

This changed only today and so far no new message/ email request.

With my application as per norm I had to send my stepsons medical. We have send all other documentation for not sending his medical as he won't be accompanying us now or in future.

Does the above status of medical got to do anything with his medical?
Shall I expect any further request from CIC on this? How long in normal scenario would this status change?
Anyone with expert knowledge please advise.

I am in same status as you, I dont have access to my step son or his medical. We have submitted all supporting documents but the status is not changing. What happened in your case, did it move further?

My medicals were cleared finalky after over a year in June 2018. But still no news of ppr. Last gcms notes showed eligibility still not started

To exclude my stepson from our application they had asked for affidavit in a format thy provided. Medicals were cleared after we submitted this. Post that nothing

Does it take a year for this type of case to get the medical passed? My case is somewhat similar and I have applied through express entry FSW- inland in September. My medical status is showing the same as "we are reviewing the medical" since my AOR (11th Sept).

Can't say if it will be over a year, but yes it will take time as ircc will want to have the dependents medicals.
I am waiting now for over 20 months. Each case timeline will be different in such cases

Been having this status from 4th Jan (AoR 27 Nov) they replied with the standard template when I raised a cse. I guess I can only wait for some movement in the application......

I got AOR on feb 2017 for permanent residency and after couple of month my status change to reviewing the results of your medical till now (after more than 9 month) there is no update and the funny thing is that I didn’t do the medical exam yet !!
Any idea how long will take to receive the medical request?

I had no responses form the Canadian side even when after I requested for GCMS notes. So I thought I'd try my luck by writing to the clinic to check if any follow up was needed and guess what? the clinic got back saying they needed to do an additional test - I am guessing they got this input from IRCC a couple of months ago but they never bothered reaching out until I reached out to them. So I'd ask you to double check with your clinic as well.
