Hello!!

The line in MyCIC just change for: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

But I never received AOR2 and I need that to send to Quebec Immigration for having CSQ

I suppose the Visa Office is Mexico because my wife live in Mexico


It is normal that I didnt receive any email?

Pretty normal from this year.

What's your background? Have you ever studied/worked or lived in Canada before?
 
we went through mexico and never received a "we are transferring your file" email or an AOR2... this is quite typical. from this point, it took 10 months!
 
I called and they said my app is still in Mississaugua, they will send my a email when they will send it.

But normally they start the background Check in the visa office of the country where it will be transfer no?

Hi was your file transferred to Mexico?? I’m in the same situation and I’d like to know if there’s a chance my application will be fully processed in Canada

Not always. In my case Background Check in Process on Gckey started around June 5th this year whereas I got the visa transfer to VO letter on July 20th.

Did you get any other updates from your local VO?? I wonder what the VO will do since the Canadian CPC already started the background check
 
No, I didn't get further updates from visa office other than We started processing your application on July 20th on the Principal applicant side of ECAS. It is possible they started the background check in Mississauga and then moved the file to visa office.
