Very SAD, May be they stuck on your record check as a Sponsor, do you think you have a past record etc..?

Past Record of Sponsor? I don't think so. Sponsor is PR and is residing in Canada before filing of our application. We both have no criminal records as we both have applied for Police Clearance Certificates recently. (btw, I'm PA)

OK I got it. U R not in Canada. But what happens for a big delay [it is one of the reasons] is; they start checking Sponsor's Eligibility. Sometimes a sponsor may have a matching name with close DOBs to 1 or 2 other in Canada and then they can dig deep in to the criminal records from Police and even from Courts transcripts. I/O who goes thru application checks it very carefully, any suspicion causes delays. I know a guy has the same exact name as mine and have a big Cr. Record with Police and they told me too, but they won't disclose who he is. And few other reasons like past history of the sponsor if his divorce was too quick after reaching here or both parties in his 1st marriage did moc --many reasons can be there.
Now you try to log in to Ecas 1st. Ask your spouse the Receipt no. then fill in this ecas with your data with this no. I was successful in logging to this ecas without any file nos.or AOR etc.

Also share with you a divorced guy's story who had a minor family Violence history. He did not even thought of it. went to India , married and sponsored his wife and was refused with a reason of C. Record. Now he knew the reason at this time (not be4),however told his wife that forget about Canada I am refused because I am 2nd marriage. Both are living in India 4 now. He convinced wife that we will try to reapply after 5 years. There are cases like this , each case is diff If your application is in the system , they can't hold it there 4 ever, soon you guys will get a reply and then it might move very fast.

Thanks for your detailed response.

Yes. We can't really know for sure what could be the exact reason as IRCC Call Centre would give flat response every time I call them.

I've checked ECAS against Receipt number just now (starting with 'R' followed by 9 digits) and with both sponsor and my details - Nothing.

For both of us, it is our first marriage and we have no history of violence or domestic abuse with anyone. End of next week will cross 4 months of waiting time period. I just feel holding application for 4 months without sending acknowledgement is torture and pure negligence.

ONly way is to keep calling them all agents are not the same nature. Another way was to order GCMS notes which is too early if they did not start in real with an AOR

I landed on July 16, 2018 and applied for sponsorship July 26, 2018. Moreover, my wife case was examined along with my PR as a non-accompanying member, so she has a UCI id. However, as of now, no AOR.

they received the file to sponsor my wife the 27th of aug and i still have not received the aor1 ... its really frustrating everytime i call i get the message hat they cant answer due to a high volume.... not sure what to do

Okay. So after 4 months and 9 days of waiting, I still haven't received my AOR, however my ECAS is Live!

I had sent webform inquiry to them last week and I received standard reply from them yesterday that we received your application already and it will be processed within 12 months. Today, I checked my ECAS and it's working. Shouldn't I be getting my AOR first?

Not necessarily. Sometimes they completely miss this step. It's happened to some members of the forum, but it doesn't affect the process. You should be receiving your SA soon, hang in there for a few days. This is good news after such a long wait.

Application was received in Aug but no AOR for 4 months. Called IRCC to check - standard, one agent said would put a note in the system. Sent a web inquiry few days ago, in addition to the standard auto reply, an agent replied and said that if I don't receive reply by mid Feb then contact them again. I wonder what's wrong with my application, both of us are first marriage and no c record =(

That's good news! I was wondering how soon after AOR, on average, SA comes through. I know there is no rule on the time frame for any of their stages, but still, it helps me a bit to have a rough idea in my mind what to expect when. (or maybe it's best not to expect anything? :D)
