Identification type: application number, F000123456, your family name, your date of birth, your country of birth. If it doesn’t work, you probably should click on “Report a problem”.

What, report a problem instead of suffering in silence? Against my upbringing.

Okay, actually just didn't notice that button and a bit lazy.

I've tried every combination of both application number, UCI, receipt number, etc, for both sponsor and PA. Was your attempt to get in successful as sponsor or as PA?

It actually works for both. Do you type your application number with F?

Yes. Should I have been leaving that out?
No, it needs to be typed like F000123456. Make sure you chose “Application number”. So strange that it doesn’t work for you. It even works for those who sent applications back in Feb-March (whose files were stuck somewhere in the Mississauga VO).

This person said they just had received PPR.
An update. They were told to send documents to Warsaw. The applicant didn’t even give biometrics because of VACs closure so Warsaw used previous biometrics for a short-term visa. I don’t understand why they keep saying that applicants have to wait for VACs reopening if they’re fine with sending passports to Warsaw. It just bothers me so much. Double standards.

What country do you choose as yours when trying to check ecas? Sometimes choosing USSR instead of Russia, Latvia etc works ;)

I've tried every variation I can think of there too. (ussr Russia last name / plus first name all caps etc).

Is that right??? They just took their previous biometrics? You know that for sure?
And what is their timeline, do you know?
Actually do you know that person's nickname, I would like to talk to him?
Sorry for lots of questions but I am in the same situation: They need my biometrics but because of the VACs closure I am unable to provide it. And I was specificially told that these biometrics (immigration and short-term) are in two different systems and can not be replaced...

Yes, fully understand, I was in the same situation, had to redo my biometrics because of this rule. Check “RusForum”, the thread is “Спонсирование супругов в Канаду”.

Guys, FYI
Today I contacted VFS Russia via online chat and asked them if the removal of the orange Covid notification on their site is somehow connected with the soon reopening of Visa Centers. They replied that it only means that they updated the site but the Visa Centers remain closed up-to-date. That's all..
