Not sure whether its good news or bad but i've noticed that the yellow notification that was informing about the closure of VFS now disappeared.

https://visa.vfsglobal.com/rus/en/can

I should have said, I don't know the person I was in contact well, nor the internal organisation or responsibilities; it's entirely possible when I was told "no idea" that the person truly doesn't know when the VFS will re-open.

I just checked VAC’s sites for Armenia and Kazakhstan (they have the same version as the site for Russia) and noticed those sites still have the orange line on the front page. It must be an update!! I’m so excited!
UPD: Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan don’t have the orange line either.

Dear all, for those who still needs to give their biometric enrolment but VACs are still closed in your country (like in mine for example), please note that you can do it in Turkey. VAC in Istanbul just opened the available slots for September. I did not check for slots in Ankara but the VAC is open there too.

FYI: I am the November 2019 applicant from Russia
My case is reviewed by Warsaw
Got my pre-arrival letter - August, 29th
Medical: done
Biometrics: still required

Got pre-arrival services letter. Oct 19 applicants, AOR2 from Warsaw June 1.

Funny, in my excitement I closed the browser window, and then realised that apart from checking and downloading the document (the pre-arrival services letter), I'd forgotten to check if anything else had changed in the gckey process page.

So I went back and logged in and ... the server is down! I know, they do this every tuesday in the wee hours in Canada, but can't help but be really hyper to know / see if anything else changed.

The problems of being always online. On the other hand, I'd have missed the window and not been able to see the letter at all if I'd checked 20 minutes later, and would have really freaked out.

(For info on process - got an email from CIC that said 'we sent you a message', check your gckey account. Logged into gckey and got the attachment - letter in pdf format - no problem).

I was just wondering what this letter means at this stage considering everything that is going on right now with the Warsaw VO. Does it mean they would send PPR soon? Or at least DM? Russian VACs reopening? You’re the 3 one who got this letter recently. So it’s like some routine process.

I wish I knew, the time frames between this and PPR seem to vary a lot. I have read it is eligibility passed but don't know in more detail. Main thing I reckon is if it covers security and how long that might take.

Were you able to get the access to ECAS?

Hi! When was your file transferred to Warsaw and when did you receive AOR2/“We started processing your file”?
P.S. I saw you posted a link to the petition, I got an email from CanadaVisa regarding this message but when I clicked on it there wasn’t anything. I was just wondering how many people are needed to sign petition this for you to send it to IRCC? I’m just afraid we don’t have many people from Russia here (comparing to other countries like India, Pakistan)

Hi!
My file was transferred to Warsaw - January, 6th
I received my AOR2 - June, 9th

Was just now able to get into gckey and nothing changed except for the pre-arrival services letter in the correspondence section.

Probably I will make yet another ritual and futile attempt to get into ECAS. I've tried everything I can think of there and never any luck.

Identification type: application number, F000123456, your family name, your date of birth, your country of birth. If it doesn’t work, you probably should click on “Report a problem”.
