Hello Guys, Today I got an update on my GCKEY saying
Review of additional documents: We are reviewing the additional documents you provided. I think this means my File has been received by Moscow VO . It was first in Warsaw, Poland. Background check started January 21. Do you guys think they are now finally looking at my BGC or if this means they finally received by file? 1 month and few days just passed after the BGC status. I Hope I get good news soon.

Pretty hard to review your documents if they do not have your File! It is great news. Sounds like it is moving forward for you and others.

Lol yeah true. But the update on background check was in process on Jan 20 but I guess that didnt mean they are looking at it. Since it transfered on the 21st to Moscow. Just wondering if the officer is having a final look at file before PPR or they just started looking at the additional documents. Not really sure.

Hey guys , Im really confused and worried where my file is. Apparently my file is still not received by Moscow VO . They replied to me just now. So why would GCkey update "Addtional documents being reviewed" when the file is no where near its destination. How much longer does it take for s transfer its been a month and few days now. So frustrating...

well because I will stick with my earliest comment in that I was surprised it was even in Moscow. Warsaw handles the application, even the interviews. My guess is that the MP misunderstood or just called CIC information and got a standard answer. Only your GCMS notes can tell you what is really happening.

Your right, after talking the MP they misunderstood and they said it was transfered Jan 30 but case is still im Warsaw. So both are working in Crimimality, Eligibility and Security. She said its all pending.

There used to be but so much has changed over the past two years. I don't think it would be very accurate even if we could find it.

Hey guys! i just got an interview date on March 23. This email is from Moscow . But my husband is in Tajikistan. I think its so short notice. My gckey has still not updated . Im wondering is the email is legit. I thought they would give u one month notice ? Please help.

Hello, I’m answering my own question incase anyone has same concern in future.

If you are migrating & have driving experience of over 2 years you need to bring letter of authenticity from ministry of transportation from your country stating the dates when you obtained the driving license & for how long it’s valid. Incase the govt officials don’t write it to you as it happened in my case. Then upon arriving in Canada you need to go to the consulate of your country or embassy & ask them to provide you a letter of authenticity for driving license. I got it on the same day.

With that document you are eligible for Highway road test (category G in Ontario) right away after passing knowledge test.
In case you don’t have that document & only have a valid driving license then you have to go through G2 then G Road test in Ontario.
If you don’t have anything to prove driving experience then you have to wait for 8 months for a road test after passing knowledge test. Hope this information helps others.

A quick question for the experts or seniors. Which document will be required from Poland to add the driving experience to Canadian license. Like for Indian license it’s a letter from District Transportation Officer showing driving history,apart from license.

That is unfortunate. Explains why Moscow is involved. I would not waste a lot of time on the legitimacy of the email. I have heard of your situation many times before. Instead either get your husband to Moscow or ask for an extension. I suspect they are questioning your marriage and whether it is genuine. Most other issues they ask for more paper first.

Well, if the letter has your UCI number on it, it must be legit. You can call & confirm as well. The sooner you give interview, better it will be for you. But in case you want to extend, I guess you can write to them.

Hello Guys, so yes I did confirm that the email in legit. Now , we had some issues for him to travel to Moscow for the Interview so they requested to do a Skype interview. Do you guys have any info on how do Skype interviews work? Do they still need any documents? The Skype interview is confirmed but the date is not finalized yet. But I just wanted to have an idea . Please let me know if anyone has an idea. Thank you.
