Hi Sous..
Today our status on gckey changed to application complete and approved.. I'm only assuming that since they got out passports last Wednesday, it means they stamped the visa and were waiting for the email from them now ? Or they sent the passport ? Wanted to call today until I seen this change... What does it mean? I thought gckey changes when he lands in Canada ...??

Yes it means that they have finished with your passport. That is not unusual to see it show completed. Hope the passport heads your way. Did you get a notification to arrange for a courier?

No we have not... Which is why its weird I think..

A person feels so helpless in this process. I might try calling vfsglobal and see if they can help as this is their area of expertise. Maybe try emailing Warsaw but I never had much success and try the cic call center.

I am actually thinking of emailing Warsaw as well (because, I'm me ) - I sent the photos and copy of bio page of passport to Ottawa, cause they said I can do so if I have a mailing address in Canada and am in Canada. They received my package on Monday 17th, but no tracking for the return envelope yet (they said to do it via Xpresspost), so I guess they didn't send the COPR yet... My problem is that,
a) I did let them know I was pregnant, and I am now just worried that MAYBE that somehow slowed them down? Unless, it's simply that in Ottawa there is no one designated to deal with my application, and maybe I should've sent the passport and photos to Warsaw, as it would've been quicker? and
b) IF there is ANY problem they WILL get in touch with me, right? I mean, they're not just gonna not send me COPR without letting me know there was a problem with what I sent them? Right? So, I'm thinking what if I email Warsaw and ask them if all is well with what I sent? And finally,
c) - I will be away between March 29th and April 2nd, so if the COPR arrives on the 29th or 30th then... what happens then?????

You will be fine. 17th is not long in the world of the govt.

I think it is at least 7 days but talk to the outlet that serves your area

hahah sorry! It's just that this is the one thing I DO HOPE there will be no unpleasant surprises with (that, and the baby, of course!) And I am a fussy planner, I like to plan out everything I can in detail, foresee problems and fix them before they arise, etc Unfortunately, that is one of the side-effects of being an academic! By the way, our GMCS notes arrived today, and they had 'recommend approve' on them (and they are a month old now). It was actually kind of nice to read them, especially a lengthy note from one of the officers summarizing our relationship to another (I guess), saying it was well-documented, etc. (and that they shredded lots of unnecessary stuff ;D)

So I'm a lot like Lady Ashka over here. Constant worrier. But its very difficult to stay still. I couldn't resist and called and I got through in like 25 seconds... They helped me figure out they're waiting for a courier themselves and she gave me the tracking number and I was able to see that they pickedit up at 12:46 and now its like 9 and it's still in the same "just picked up" file.. Thought I would stop worrying but I'm more worried now

I wouldn't worry in this case, though - I think that as long as you got confirmation that they were going to send it then they will!

No I think being pregnant does not change anything at all. You're fine
