ah to be in the middle of the process as opposed to the beginning. I'm not even sure my papers got to the Mississauga office, since Canada Post dropped the ball and didn't get the signature as I requested. So my delivery status is stuck on "out for delivery" with no indication that it got there last Friday or not. :'(

With great pleasure :D

I can't wait until I get my passport back..

Thanks very much...that was fast work!! Just got my email to arrange for a courier to pick up my visa documents!!! ;D COPR is good until August.

Bit of a pain to arrange for the courier myself (since VO won't do it) and cost me $175!! But at least it is done. Now only one more waiting process...Emailed shipping label to VO and they need to put package with UPS!

Can't wait...now just need to plan a short little trip to the US to flagpole!

Oh, and ECAS is still "application received" ::) ??? >:(

Diana, where did you send your passport? I heard they had changed the process and they were providing the visa's from the Canadian visa office near the Canadian Consulate on Vazgen Sargsyan Poxoc. No? Are you from Yerevan?

Congrats buddy! Pack your bags tight!
But that is a bit strange with all the pick up stuff. I thought you receive your documents (COPR) via mail and fill out the form for your PR card at the boarder right after you land. I see different VO's have different policies. Maybe you could give me a short guidance just for orientation of what's it gonna be like after your passport copies are requested? And can you provide them in .pdf via email?

p.s. If your visa exempt you don't need to send your original passport physically, right?

Interesting. So they are not running the process but still involved with the Visa's. Talk about a confusing way of doing things. LOL Keep us posted how long it will take.

From what I have experienced, if you are from a visa exempt country, you are typically requested to send only a photocopy of all the pages in your passport. If you need a VISA, you are requested to send either an advance photocopy of your passport and then your physical passport...or they simply ask you to send your passport. You can email the passport copy in JPG or PDF. I sent it PDF by email.

It is strange regarding the pickup of the papers for Warsaw. I know most people get their COPR in the mail...but it seems I'm getting something else...I will review it today when it arrives. Given that it costs anywhere from $90-$175 for a courier...I can't see the VO picking up that cost for important documents for all the PR's they process...they would have to increase the fees. If it is just a simple COPR...then regular mail is fine for the VO I guess. They indicated that the package includes: "We would like to inform, that your passport with visa and other immigration documents are ready to be picked-up." I would be curious to find out from the others how much it costs them to courier their passport to the VO and I assume it would be double that cost to get it back from the VO?

Just waiting for the package this morning ;D. Trip to US already planned to flagpole on the way back!

Hello to everybody!!! I was originally following the December 2014 thread, but now that I have SA, I thought it might be best to join to see how things are going in the Warsaw Visa Office. Here's wishing a speedy processing time for all of us!!! :D

What was in the package? :D I mean, I wouldn't mind paying the courier as it is many times faster and I am traveling while my documents are in process so my address changes quite often, so I actually gave an address of my friend to be safe with any mail from CIC, while with courier I could just ask him to deliver at my present location haha

Hope Warsaw moves fast as it always had, it's just annoying to wait for stuff to happen.

Where in US your heading?

Cheers! Yeah, as much as I read, Warsaw rocks on processing time, so if all is well I'm guessing we should look at 4 to 6 months. I see I'm a couple of weeks behind you, still waiting on SA which should hopefully come within a few days and then the fun will begin haha

I'll be requesting my GCMS notes tomorrow, so I'll get those next month. Hopefully there's been some movement. I've been looking at flights home, but it's hard to plan, because I'd like to travel with my wife. Although this may be a case of CIC waiting for me to book flights to issue the visa, while I am waiting for CIC to issue the visa to book flights...

No news is good news, right?

I see you are a month ahead of me. Did you hear from Warsaw? What does your ECAS show?

I got AOR from Warsaw in November, and nothing since. Ecas shows application received.
